Travel gun
So I figured I needed a different gun for my flying job. I can carry everywhere, but wanted it low profile, easy to service, not weigh much and ammo would be available everywhere.
It's a Colt Agent, fitted with a 3" barrel, bobbed hammer, XS Big Dot front sight, Birdsong Black-T moving parts (shoot it lube free), and CeraKoated Burnt Bronze. 16.25 ounces and it's legal everywhere in the lower 48 states.

Colt Police Positive.jpg Battered but beautiful!
Very nice choice and customizing, methinks.
One of my Go Anywhere guns is a Colt Police Positive. Lightweight, easy to carry and conceal, and, according to Colt, all their revolvers can shoot +P, though with modern .38 Special ammo, not so necessary. I like the longer barrel over the Detective Special, but I frequently throw one of those in the bag.
I flew for private owners and non-airline commercial jets for just short of 50 years and almost always had a firearm with me. It helped that I rarely had to go through airline terminals. Private aviation, including non-airline commercial, is much more understanding.

That is exactly why I choose this gun, previously I had carried a well used S&W M315 Nightguard, but the Colt is easier to hide. I'm hoping that Kimber will introduce their new revolver in a 3" version. My ammo choice is Hornady 129gr FTX 38spl+p. Both of my travel guns shoot them to point of aim at 10 yards.

What kind of jets do you fly for the ARMY?!
Or, do you mean commercial jets like the Lear, not related to your Army avatar?

Interesting as well as well thought-out and executed customized handgun. I note that you left a good deal of "meat" on the hammer after removing its spur. Wise, as for some reason Colt's seem malfunction prone if too much metal is removed from their hammers.
For the record, I load 150 grain hard cast wadcutters (from Buffalo Bore) in my .38 Special carry handguns. Sort of "pre-expanded" projectiles.

There have been "travelers" pistols back to flintlock days.
I guess I'd choose between my M-60-4 or my Ruger SP-101.
Both are compact, reliable ,and accurate. And the latter even has enough power if a plane comes down in bear country.
I probably won't load .357 ammo in a motel room, though.

Great "all business" carry piece. The first firearm that I every had refinished was by Walter Biirdsong with the Black T finish. It is a 1911, "c" prefix, made in 1949 and spent most of its life as a hard ball gun used by a shooter for the NRA bulls eye matches. When I got acquired the pistol it had about 65% of the original bluing left.
Now, after over 5k rounds, the Black T finish still looks "new". The dura coat bronze really sets off your revolver!

Attorney.......mostly travel all over Pa. by car.......with 3 hour check in I can drive almost, or faster than I can fly!!!!!!
Edit: Once drove from Harrisburg to the "Burgh".......... I was home before some others making the same trip even got on the plane. Add the flight time, deplaning, getting to your car, 45 min drive home.............

Retired - Drive everywhere. Had to fly a lot for my job in previous life, just don't like the hassle at the airport.
