100 years old!
I get that this isn't an S&W, but please indulge me. Like the S&W revolvers of this era, it is cool, vintage, and it does date between 1896-1961.
All my revolvers are Smith & Wesson - except this one. It was my Grandfathers revolver. It's a Colt "Army Special" in 32-20. The S/N indicates a D.O.B. of 1916. The trigger is like "Butta".
When it was passed down to me, it came with brass, bullets, and an all in one "Ideal Mfg." reloading tool. I've never tried it, as I have a set of RCBS dies and a modern press. Anyway, thank you for looking.

That old revolver looks to be in great shape! I'd love to have something like that, especially a family heirloom.
Oh, and there's nothing "wrong" with having, showing, and talking about guns that aren't Smiths on this forum...so you certainly don't have to apologize or offer a disclaimer for that.
Thanks for showing us your grandfather's old gun.

I have an AS in .32-20 just like it, in about the same condition, but from slightly earlier (1911) and with the unusual 4-1/2" barrel. Maybe you can use the tong tool to cast bullets.

Very nice!!!
Cool to have your Grand fathers gun. Happy 100th birthday. I'v got one old gun. It's not a family heirloom or aything but it is 94 years old and shoots like a new one. The people on this "Smith and Wesson" forum just love guns, period. Thanks for posting that sweet heart of a revolver.
Peace,
Gordon

Nice revolver! And, sadly, built better than most of what's out there today.
Yes, I've shown this photo before, but it needed to be shown again, since the NS turned 100 this year. I could list it as one of my most unique:

Wow! I like that Colt! There's something about a smaller revolver that shoots a big ol' bullet that really appeals to me.

My Army Special in .32-20 was also made in 1916. It's been refinished and has a replaced front sight. Not sure if the 4.5" barrel is original or has been shortened.
