Default Colt M1917 value??

What's a reasonable price range for a Colt M1917 Army with wrong grips?
The gun is about 80-85% original finish, excellent barrel and currently wearing a set of Colt checkered commercial grips.
(Don't know if they are replicas or what..)

They seem to run pretty close to the S&W 1917's in price in my area. I say that but a local pawn store has been trying to sell a refinished (heavily buffed) Colt 1917 for $1995 but his has been on the shelf as long as I can remember. I've seen other, more original guns go for 1000 to 1200.

These prices are high for Central Ohio. An 80% Colt 1917 with replacement grips shouldn't be higher $750-800. Maybe even less!
