Default Heritage Rough Rider .22 combo

A couple weeks ago, I picked up my Rough Rider .22 combo from my FFL. I was looking for an inexpensive .22 revolver, but my slush fund was a tad limited and I had to scratch the itch, since it had been a few months since I bought "anything".
I read up on these and decided to give one a chance, as most of the reviews I read indicated that, for the money, it's a decent revolver. Besides, I don't have a single action in my stable.
I had my FFL order the combo model (22LR, 22WMR), all steel frame, 6-1/2" barrel, and fiber optic adjustable sights. Now granted, the fiber optic sights don't earn points for authenticity on a single action revolver, but they really stand out and I'm one of those guys that just prefers adjustable sights.
I finally was able to take it to the range this morning, and I'll tell ya what it's a fun gun to shoot. After adjusting the windage to the right a few clicks, I was able to shoot half dollar sized groups off hand at 10 yards. No hang ups, no issues, nicely accurate and a great plinking single action. This one will go to the range with me often.

I had one once. Wish I hadn't sold it. It wasn't much to look at, but was very accurate, and had as smooth an action as I've seen on anything of any price.

For the $200 new I paid for mine, couldn't be happier with it. I primarily bought it to introduce new shooters to handguns, but also for fun plinking.

Granted, I rarely shoot 22s any more given that at current prices I can reload 38 special for about as much. Plus, for a new shooter, a 38 special wadcutter out of my Model 14 has only marginally more recoil than a 22. Even so, with 22 magnum, it's a great little backyard squirrel gun.

I've had mine for about 15 years, it is a great gun with a great warranty.

Great pistols for the price. I have 2 of them and shoot the **** out of them. No problems and love the 4 clicks.

I have seen these for many years at gun shows, but never owned or fired one. One of my friends bought one about 7 or so years ago, he seems to like it, but he doesn't shoot much. The price seems right if it doesn't come apart after a thousand rounds. I have no idea about their durability.

Congrats on the new pistol! It's a great little plinker. I've been shooting CB shorts through mine for fun.
