WW1 Walther
Found this sitting on the shelf in Cabelas and figured it needed a new home. I believe it's a model 5 and made around about 1916. It's a .25 ACP and is a very cool little gun. Just fired three rounds thru it and it functioned just great. Take down is pretty simple, now just to clean it. Will probably buy new grips as one panel is cracked.

Nifty gun.
I would think grips would be hard to come by, did Walther make a lot of these?

Looks like a Model 5. I had a Model 1 years ago - they're easy to tell apart.
An online auction that I won't name to not violate any rules has grips for it.

Wow! Looks like it has a threaded barrel. Perhaps interesting history.

I had the .32 version (the Model 4) briefly, but it didn't work reliably and I wound up taking it back to the gun store for a refund. They're really nifty, eh? Have fun with it!

I found a site that has the grips for $33, probably not original grips but they're wood. Also managed to find a recoil spring too, this is probably likely a hundred year old spring still in it.

I have a Model 4. My Grandpa had it sitting on a shelf in his garage for years. Beautifully made. Not reliable which may be due to the magazine.

Took it to the range and couldn't get thru a full magazine. Will give it a good clean and try a new recoil spring. It's a 100 years old so I'll cut it some slack.
