Default Cool Knife

I recently bought this exquisite knife--made by D'Alton Holder. It's his "Big Dog" model, and the wood is very rare Russian Royal Walnut, spacers are Oosic and African Blackwood. The guard was engraved by his wife, now retired.

My, that's a nice one. I have seen a few of his knives, and all are works of art.

Thumbs up

I've seen some of his knives and yours is a beauty. I especially like that blade shape. So many knives now days are tacticool serrated blade with saw back, and optional skull crusher, it's a pleasure to see a practical and elegant knife once in a while.

Very cool indeed! I have a fetish for customs knives. I'll have to make some time to take a few pics of mine

Tim, it looks like something obscene imprinted on the blade. Dude, will that polish out?

Beautiful knife Tim.
What is the length of the blade from tip to choil?
I went online and perused the offerings of the knifemaker. Quite a bit of beautiful artistry there.
Good on ya'.

Bruce-- It's a 5 3/8" blade. 1/4" thick. It actually has a point--my photo lack-of-skills cut it off!

In addition to the beautiful engraving on the guard it looks to have some file work on the spine. 5 3/8" is a good working size blade. Again, Very nice !
