Howdah Pistol, New Petersoli .45 Colt/.410
American Rifleman | Tested: IFG Howdah 45/410 Double-Barrel Pistol
Got this in a email from the NRA last night. Interesting and nice looking but don't think it is anything I need. Even if I was in serious snake country, not sure that do to the weight I would need it over anything else I might have. Snakecharmer .410 solved the issue for me at a much lower price than $1300. Of course a long handled hoe is even cheaper!

Interesting.
One more choice to opine about in a "what to carry in bear country" thread.

'In short, if a handgun has a rifled barrel and is designed to fire a legally recognized handgun cartridge, in this case the .45 Colt revolver cartridge, then stretching the chamber length and modifying the rifling to operate safely with a .410 shell in addition to the .45 Colt does not constitute a violation of NFA regulations.'
Better yet, get rid of such stupid regulations.

Perhaps this firearm is more pleasing to simply enjoy, than to study?

Looks more like the old Ithaca Auto Burgular Gun. I guess it would be handy if traveling by Elephant. I would think their
would be a limited market for a toy with that price tag.

I think it looks great! I used to own an H&R Handy Gun (fully registered and tax paid) which I really enjoyed. Great woods gun. I'll start saving my pennies.

An educational opportunity! Nice police officers would love to learn the nuances of the NFA from you.
