Savage Model 14 and 114
I'm old school and I like wood stocks and Savage brought these two out a few years ago. They have an oil finish on the stocks that is easy to keep up. The Model 14 is a short action and the Model 114 is the long action.
Model 114 in 270 Win.
Model 14 in 308

I've got a 114 in .30-06 that I've had since the early '90s, before the Accu-trigger came out. It certainly doesn't have wood like your 270 !
Mine is more of a blue-collar model. Nothing fancy, but it shoots well, and has never failed me.

The dealer had a picture of the rifle and I called them to make sure it was the one pictured. He said yes it was and I bought it right there over the phone.

This one's chambered in 250-3000, but the wood doesn't hold a candle to yours!

I currently have 4 Savage bolt action center fires. 3 model 24 combo guns, and a few 22's. The ability to hit what you shoot at is excellent, but sometimes to only beauty is in the eye of someone in love with them!

Savagely Classic
Old Post from 2016. I found it because I am trying
to find out more about this Classic.
Recently bought the Savage Mdl 14 (Short Action) Left
Hand Bolt Action 300Winchester Short Magnum.
It is considered a Used rifle but, with close inspection
never used. Rifling doesn't show copper, Stock finish
100% has no marks (unbelievable), Barrel and Action
bluing 100%. The Magazine shows no signs of brass
and is in perfect condition. The Black rubber Butt Pad
has just rub marks on it. Leupold Scope Bases/Rings on it.
Getting it ready to shoot now. Cleaning it up a little,
Reloading 3 Cartridges for it, and putting a Scope on it.
Will start breaking in the Barrel.
Unbelievable condition and very unusual to see some-
thing like this.
Thanks for reading my Post.

Scoped
Got the Savage Scoped and Reloaded for.
Took it to the Range. What a nice shooting
Rifle. Very accurate too.
I lucked out; Quick Released a Scope from
another Rifle, mounted to the Savage, it
was right on target. I’ll do the fine
adjustments later.
This starts the Barrel break in.
What a nice Rifle.
Thanks for reading my Post.

I bought a Savage 10 BA chassis based sniper rifle around 2008/9 in 308. I have a 8-32x56 Nightforce BR scope on it. After the scope was zeroed. a box of Hornady 165 A-max tactical (LEO only) ammo was shot at 100 yards just to see what would happen. All twenty shots were in the same 308 bullet hole!
During that time frame, Savage had great rifles! I have a single shot target 223 (Right Bolt, left port) that with the black rubber over molded stock shoots 5" groups at 1000 yards and with a Boyd BR stock shoots 3" groups at 1000. It is one of my few rifles to have been named, we call it the "M&M Gun", I once shot 7 consecutive M&M's at 200 yards (one shot each).

Righty with a Lefty
That sounds Savagely interesting.
This is my first Savage. And a Lefty at that. I have always
liked Savage and always heard good things about their Rifles.
Was a little different working the action, but I could stay
on the Bench, always shouldered the same, not disturbing
my grip in the shooting position.
Anxiously awaiting to shoot “Barrel Break in” rounds again.
Reloaded 3 this AM.

Pretty stocks. Always nice to see something other than black plastic.
