Yup, a depression era Model 94 in .25-35, and a Model 70 in 270.

Have a stainless .380 PPK from about 87/88 that use to be my suit gun...(now it's a 3913NL).....came across a Blue Interarms PPK still NIB w/ the box...about 10(?) years ago...had to have it. Still new in box....LOL

In all fairness the Stainless gun only gets carried these days to new "Bond" movies and when I'm in a Tux...... which I work hard to not have happen!!!!

HK P7. Bought 10+ years ago and have less than 100 rounds down the pipe. I appreciate the design but don't like shooting it.

Not yet, and doubt I will. If I were gonna buy a gun just to look at, I'd save money and just get a picture of it.

M1 Garand. I've shot it, but only once and not very many rounds. I still don't regret having it. Everyone should have at least one. Funny, I did think about taking it out for a spin just two days ago. Then the temps dropped to single digits and below. I think I'll wait.

Ruger 44 Carbine. Tube mag type, not the later rotary style. Factory peep sight.

Traded for it 2 years ago, haven't fired it yet. I'll get to it, hopefully. So many guns, so little time.

SWMBO handled it a few weeks ago, said she really liked it. I may never get to shoot it now.

Have I ever purchased a firearm and not shot it yet? Yes, there have been a few that I have wanted since I was little and had a chance to buy one an for the time being, placed her in the safe waiting for that day when I am ready to take her out. But have I ever purchased a gun just to hide away and never shoot, no.

Second gen Colt SAA 45, new in the box. I'm not shooting it.

Also, an 1858 Remington New Navy Cartridge conversion. It's chambered for 38 Rimfire. They aren't to be had, and you can't reload them.

I also have a Colt DA38 (Lightning). Not sure if it's smokeless proofed or not, but I'll likely err on the side of caution.

I also have a like new pre 34 S&W kit gun. I may fire it someday, but so far, I've found no need to shoot it.

Mine is a unfired "cept for the factory" 8 3/8th blued M-57-1 in the presentation case. I have another M57 and Ruger Black Hawk to shoot and never did get around to shooting the long tom 57. May be that my 8 3/8th 25-5 gets all the long range lay down heavy metal duty.

Mosin Nagant 91/38, a M91 rebuilt as a carbine. When they did mine they used the original M91 stock without the steel crossbolt.

Enfield No.4 Mk2 in the mummy wrap, one of the UF55 series rifles built for the RAF and never issued.

This solid frame Mauser zig-zag revolver. I think it's now unique, the serial number is 4, and I've never heard of another one. 9mm Mauser revolver ammo, DWM number 6, is pretty hard to find you know. Yeah, I know....wise guy.

I have several I rarely shoot: a M 15-4 2.5 " a M 19-4 2.5" and a M 29-2 6.6".

Sure, used to collect new in the box pre 64 Winchesters. What I found was the boxes take up a lot of room and are a worry. Carboard wasn't meant to last for generations. There is pride in ownership with new old guns but they aren't as fun to me as 97% gun you can hand to your son and let him use. I'm selling my never to be fired guns and a couple of the pristine old Winchesters will stay but be put to use. I'm interested in owning less and doing more with what I have. I've been thinking a lot about what stays and what goes and why.

Yup. The latest was a Ruger convertible Blackhawk in .45 ACP/Colt. Bought one a couple years ago, sold it a year later because I never even loaded it never mind shot it. Had the itch last spring and bought another just like it (all except the price, they've gone up a lot). Still haven't taken it out.

I have a couple WW1/2 .45's that I've never fired, and a Colt 1905 I've only looked at.

You should take that out when it warms up. They are made to shoot, there are tons of parts out here, and it's probably the softest shooting .30-06. Just make sure you use the right ammo. They are a dream to shoot.

I have guns I shoot less but I've never bought one and not shoot it. My Enfields and Mosins may only see a few hundred rounds a year but they still get shot

I recently sold my last NIB gun, an original model 520. It was VERY liberating. Every gun I currently own has been a shooter and will continue to be so. Some of them are fairly rare, old and/or valuable, but they're all fun shooters. They are well cared for, and I don't worry about diminishing their value or collectibility.

I personally don't own any guns that don't get shot. To me that is what they were made for and shot they will be. If I was in the Firearms investment business then yea I could see not shooting them, but for me it's NOT a business and so I fire away.

If you married a 10/10 Victoria's Secret Model who was a virgin, would you make her a "safe queen"?? I think NOT!

I have my shooters and I have my "safe queen" collectibles and some pure investment guns. I don't see anything wrong with that. I have no deep, pressing psychological urge to shoot every gun I've acquired just for the sake of hearing it go BANG. Some are too rare and/or valuable to shoot. Some were bought purely for investment potential. Some older ones probably shouldn't be shot at all. Others I just haven't got around to yet as I am between clubs right now due to our pending move.

Bought a Colt Buntline on a whim a few years back. The plan was to shoot it, but cleaning it would be a PITA so it sits in its display box on a coffee table.

Absolutely. Some new N frames, early kimber's,Desert Eagle's,and some others along with a shotgun and rifle.Everything I collect is done this way. Some to enjoy, and some to enjoy in my personal time capsul. If it was not for those of us who do this, then there would be no NIB guns that are no longer made.I personally do not understand the urgent need to shoot an older NIB gun which is no longer made, when you have other version to keep shooting.

To answer the original question, yes many times though with one caveat. Many of them weren't guns I "had to have" but rather ones I ran across at bargain prices that just didn't make sense not to buy or condition/rarity was such that I just knew they would appreciate in value.

I'm at the stage in my life were I occasionally find myself with disposable income but rarely disposable time, that should come in a few years but at the loss of the former. Just takes less time to hit a gun store then pack up and hit the range plus all the stores are heated this time of year. My range isn't

Buy a gun and never shoot it? I'm sure there are people like that. Some people buy a vehicle, and never drive it. I think it's silly myself. It's just a thing, and object. At best, it's a tool.

Everyone is different. I've never been a collector of anything. I've never held any sentimental feelings/value, for any object. I don't get it. Why tie up thousands of dollars in things you don't need, or use? Just to look at? Bragging rights?

Here's one I bought back in the 1980s. I have never shot it. It just sits there in its original box with all the papers, accumulating value on an almost daily basis...

...and here's another. Actually I have shot it, a couple of cylinders-full, maybe 30 years ago. Cleaned it thoroughly, and put it away. Guess what? It just sits there in its original box with all the papers, accumulating value on an almost daily basis...

I only shoot maybe one out of ten that I buy. Got this Henry .45-70 a few days ago. I don't even have any ammo for it.

Beautiful rifles you have there bushmaster1313.

I buy and get guns on trade all the time that I have no intention
of shooting, or have any interest in. Good trading material.

The ONLY gun I have that would fall into that category is, my .50 cal Black Powder rifle. I've always wanted one and the price was just too good to pass up so, I got it and all the little doodads to go with it...........powder, primers, bullets, cleaner, lube, bullet starter, etc.

I've shot it a grand total of 5 times using 295 gr. powerbelt hollow points and 100 gr. of powder. Those 5 shots completely destroyed the tree stump I was shooting at and I just haven't had good enough weather to get it out lately.

Default just a few

I have a Ruger 50th anniversary sits NIB next to my late father's red eagle 1st year Ruger standard 22... I also have a NIB Springfield Armory M-1 Garand... sits next to my 1944 that I do shoot... investments are different from the usual purchase... and so far... my 401G has been doing better than my 401k... even the wife who sees no "need" for guns appreciates and understands the value end of them... yup she is a keeper...

I have a pair of Ruger Vaquero convertibles (32 H&R Mag/32-20 wcf) that I bought at a gun show while home on R&R from Iraq in 2005 that I have yet to even load. They sure feel great in my hands and look good in my safe. Some day

Default No..

..absolutely not. If i can't shoot it, I don't need or want it. The first thing I think about when buying a gun is getting it to the range.

The only thing in my safe that I have never shot is a bringback 1937 J.P. Sauer and Sohn K98k. I'd hate to have a numbered part break.

I do have another that I haven't shot since the 60s, a Luger passed down to me from my dad. I've always promised myself that after the day I retire I will shoot it. Well I retire December 31 so come January 1 it's going to the range. I've had it apart a few time lately getting it ready.

I have a pristine 1962 Colt Cobra I haven't fired yet. Seeing that I have one that's rough around the edges already, not sure I will ever shoot it. I enjoy owning it, though.

Funny you bring this up, because I just bought a box of 10mm with my last online ammo order, with the intent of running them through my Colt Delta, which hasn't been fired in a few years.

Default never shot

This 1947 birth year M&P with factory nickel finish is in nice condition for its age. Mechanically excellent; but I can't get myself to shoot it
