The folks at Air Guns and Airsoft Guns | Your Source for Air Guns and Air Gun Accessories will be happy to hear that. It does very closely mimic a Schofield - even the ejector disconnect on the bottom of the frame works.

Here are some of my other BB guns, all very authentic in feel and action. http://smith-wessonforum.com/firearm...-4-2014-a.html

Well, that Schofield is a lot better reproduction than your "Dan Wesson". Actually that "Dan Wesson" is pretty much a Frankenstein of a Python and some cheap post WWII German S&W copy. Too bad about the safety notice, have to wonder if a bit of paint could fix that.

Agreed, the "Dan Wesson" is pretty ugly. But when I got it, it appeared to be about the only BB revolver available that used the brass cartridges and had a swing-out cylinder. Now that I peruse Pyramyd Air's website I see that they do have an authentic Dan Wesson replica (including the front-mounted cylinder latch). My first centerfire revolver was a Dan Wesson so I would be pretty comfortable with that. Dan Wesson 715 6" Pellet Revolver, Steel Grey. Air guns

I also see that they have a variety of other kinda-S&W revolvers, but still use the "Dan Wesson" frame like I have. They do have a realistic looking 586, but it uses little round clips that go in the front of the cylinder! Smith & Wesson Smith & Wesson 586, 4-inch Barrel. Air guns I don't know why they don't make an airgun that looks and operates like a real S&W.

That is pretty neat! Looks like the perfect candidate for some basement shooting over the winter. Could be dangerous though...it would either satisfy my yearning for a Schofield or stoke the fires to get the real McCoy!

This post struck a cord with me. A couple years ago at auction
my brother bid on a Schofield replica. I was out taking a smoke
break at the time. $140, he was happy as a clam. When we went
to sign out paper work we found out it was a replica. Didn't have
to sign for it, Non Firing Replica! He is still down in the jaws over
that one!

Just got one of those CO2 powered Schofields myself. A lot of fun for the money!

I've been tempted by one of those Broomhandle "Schnellfeurer" replicas but don't know what I would do with it. I already have two real C96's and don't shoot them either....

You could shoot it!! My Son got one for Christmas yesterday and we broke it out and broke it in today, mid day. I have to say, even if its a bb gun, full auto for 18 shots is a hoot, shooting at pine cones on a cardboard box at 25 feet. I was surprised at the accuracy, it feels real and that full auto has made me a fan. Action works like a real Schnellfeuer which makes it have recoil.

several teen aged kids in major cities have been killed by police officers for carrying one of those realistic BB guns & refusing to put them down when ordered to by an officer.. I wish they'd never made them.

I have a few CO2 powered BB and pellet guns in my collection. The most accurate and expensive is the Umarex made S&W 586 pellet revolver and the least expensive, but most fun to shoot is the Tanfoglio Witness 1911A1 .45 auto with blowback action. The Umarex Colt SAA is a very nice replica, though it should say .32-20 0r .38-40 on the barrel instead of 45 Colt as the cartridges and cylinder are way small for 45 Colt. Very accurate for a BB gun.
I may have buy a Scovile and a Luger one of these days.

Some teens road race and some also get drunk, then die in car crashes. Should we wish cars were never made?

That's pretty cool. Please let us know what accuracy you are getting from it. I have a pair of Navy Arms Schofields in 45 Colt. It would be nice to do some cheap indoor practice with a BB or pellet version.

The only CO2 revolver I have is a Crosman .22, looks like a K-38. I've had it for close to 35 years, still works, great for teaching kids with, and you can shoot it in the back yard. At 20', it shoots a great group until the CO2 pressure gets low. Takes maybe 25-30 shots to get there. I'm really interested in the FA Schnellfeuer. Where can I find one? Different makers, if so, which is the best?

It may sound callous to say it but those kids died because they were stupid, not because they had a realistic BB gun. Brandishing anything that remotely resembles a firearm and refusing to obey an officer's order to put it down is liable to get you shot - regardless of age.

I did some practicing for bowling pin matches down in the basemet
with a BB pistol that looked like a Desert Eagle. It ran out of steam
about the time the match I was attending did.

Interested in the Broomhandle replica. I shot an actual Schellfeur
many years ago. Lots of fun but sure ran through the 20 round mag
quickly.

I received one of these for my birthday this past week and the accuracy is "angle of mouse" for me. I went out and shot a few mice in the goat barn but I will say that bbs at 400 fps go right through mice. Fun to shoot for sure.

I've got one of the Colt/Uramax ones. The grip is more like the 1860 Army than the SAA, but I suppose that let's them fit the CO2 cartridge in easier. I haven't shot it a lot, but it's fun when I do.

I tried to cover the warning on the barrel with a black sharpie, but it didn't really cover, and wore off pretty quickly.

Even the box looks pretty good.

I'm going to look for one of those Schofield's. That looks pretty good.

I've gotten close to buying one of those, but I just haven't been able to get past the big gap between the hammer and frame when the hammer is at rest. And the 1860 size grip puts me off a bit as well. Still, it's a pretty nice rendition overall.

I have a S&W 586 pellet pistol with 6" barrel and it is quite accurate and has a nice single action trigger but the double action in not that great and has a lot of stacking. The .177 pellet at 450 fps is a lot more deadlier on squirrels than a BB and I have 5 ten shot clips(?) which allow for fast reloading, and after I shoot 50 rounds I change CO2 cartriges.
