Even with standard velocity ammo, this is pretty much "Hollywood" quiet. I'm thinking there isn't enough barrel to reach supersonic speeds. This suppressor on a rifle needs sub-sonic ammo for maximum suppression. My gunsmith was delighted to do this and another customer has already put his in the queue for the same treatment.
