Remington Rands are the most common of the WWII M1911A1s and typically sell for less than those made by other manufacturers (Ithaca, Union Switch & Signal, and Colt, plus a very few by Singer}. Be aware that many of the WWII pistols were arsenal rebuilt and the serial number and manufacturer of the frame may not match the manufacturer of the slide, and I believe that is the case for your frame. It was not made by R-R, but was made during WWI by Colt. You have a mismatched parts gun combining a WWI Colt frame with a WWII R-R slide.

Does it have any letters on it anywhere, like AA for Augusta Arsenal, indicating a WW II rebuild?
