What Rifles Do You Always Take To The Range With Your Handguns
I always like to bring along my M4-Bushmaster and Henry lever 22lr.Those always seem to be favorites that get taken out.I'm looking to purchase a Rossi-92 lever 357 or a Henry steel 357 lever very soon to shoot along with my S&W revolvers.Since I reload them it makes a lot of sense.Lever guns are fun to shoot to!

Mosin Nagant, SKS, 2 different Mausers (Argentine and Czech), always seem to make the rounds.
The bolt actions are fun, and the SKS is about as cheap to shoot as a 9mm.

Mosins are a lot of fun,it's like a stick of dynamite going off at the end of the barrel.Especially if it's almost dusk it makes a large yellow ball of fire.If you shop around here you can find 20 rounds for around $5 or buy a spam can.But recently the have gone up somewhat.
Don't ever attempt to buy and put a muzzle brake/ flash hider on one the pieces will be all over the ground in a few shots.

I don't always carry a certain gun to the range. When I go, I have a game plan as to why I'm there. I might take one gun and shoot 5 shots, or I might take ten guns and stay all day.

Usually, when I'm mainly there for shooting handguns and the rifle is a "tagalong", it'll be my Rossi '92 in .357 or my 10/22.

If I'm shooting .38, it's a Rossi carbine. If I'm shooting 9mm, my Marlin Camp 9 tags along some of the time.
I usually have a .22 bolt gun along for the trip, as well.
Most of my long gun shooting these days is with my lady's AR, only because she likes it, and it's out already!

I take my Ruger 77 bull barreled 223 a lot. Fun and cheap to shoot. Love making small groups. Nrxt is my 77 re-barrelled into a 6mm Remington.
But, next trip I am going to be taking a Ruger 77 I just picked up in 300 WM. I got it used for $400 wearing a decent looking off brand scope. Going to stick its scope on a Mohawk 600 in 6MM and stick a 3x9 Leopold on the 300 and dial both of them in. Mohawks are great little guns, I have another in 308, but wife scope eyed herself with it shooting her first deer. The 6mm will drop the recoil and get her over it.
If the little girls, 10 and 11 go along 22 rifle and pistol go for them.

My Clark 10-22 to make me feel better. I can always shoot small groups with it. So, I feel better when I leave. Sometimes I do will with my handguns but the Clark lets me leave feeling like a marksman, even though I know better.

I'm in this category.
Usually I try to team up calibers that are alike, but sometimes that doesn't work with my hunting rifles.
The rifles/hand gun combination I used most in 2016 was the BPCR rifles (45-70 and 38-55) combined with my 1911 pistols of which I can get about 3 in the pistol range bag.

I can shoot on my property so a "range trip" involves hauling stuff upstairs and opening the garage door. Currently, I like shooting my Yugo SKS and Romanian AK. The Kel-Tec Sub 2000 gets a few rounds now and then.

That's the favorite one, but in the interest of full-disclosure, I don't have many rifles.
I gave the Rossi purchase a great deal of thought when looking for "the" rifle, and the stainless 24" octagon .357 is all I wished for and more.

I try to shoot them once a year. It is getting harder to find 30-40 ammo though so I have backed off on the 1902 Krag.

I had a Rossi in .357 for a while, mine wasn't stainless though. It shot great. I eventually ended up selling it and using that money to help fund a 94ae Winchester 30-30, but I still wish I had that Rossi.

Used to take my "Black Rifle", but now that's illegal. Always take my 10-22.

In addition to my battle rifles I like to take my Winchester Model 94AE Trapper Carbine, my M1 Carbine and my M1-22 Carbine. All great fun to shoot.
The Trapper Carbine is a .44 REM

Not quite a rifle...AR pistol.

It was put together for fun and is just that. It comes along most every time.

Depends on the reason for the range visit because if it's pre Deer hunting then I'm there dialing in my hunting rifles that I plan on using. If it's just a range visit in the off season I usually take an AR-15, Bolt action 223 and a Bolt action 17 HMR. I also take a couple of pistols like a Sig P228 and a Sig P220 that I take to practice as the P228 is my concealed carry pistol.

I never take the same one unless I am shooting Cowboy Action Shooting Matches. In that case I will take my Marlin 1894-S in .45 Colt. If just going to a Range session I'll open the safe and see what tickles my fancy at the time and grab it. There are times I do not take a rifle at all, and only take a Handgun. It all depends on the mood I am in and who is with me and what Range we are going to. Some Ranges do not allow rifles, some only lead bullets and some anything short of a Howitzer.

I'm kinda lazy when packing for a range trip, but when I take a rifle, it's either a Marlin Camp 9, Puma 357 with a 24" octagon barrel, or a Ruger 10/22 TD.

For me, it depends on which range I am going to. I shoot mostly indoors so if I bring a rifle it's almost always a 22, like my new M&P 15-22, Marlin 39A, or my Winchester 06.

A Ruger 10-22 of one variety or another always seems to go shooting with me.

Since I get out at least once a week, I take one or the other. Today it'll be my AR.

At least a Mosin and some sort of Enfield. I guess that's a rimmed cartridge theme going on.

I shoot pistol at an indoor range and may take three at most. Rifles go to the outdoor range, in season, and I take two, and may only use one.

I really like the lever actions so it is the Browning BL-22 or a Henry Silver Boy in 17 HMR. If my grandson is with, it is both of them.

I shoot on my own property, so I'll almost always throw a rifle in the truck even if I only plan to shoot handguns. What that rifle is remains undecided till I grab it, and depends mostly on how I feel that day.

I like taking my Mosin and my SKS. The Winchester .22 bolt action makes it pretty regularly to. I want to get a 10/22 sometime.

I'd be most likely to bring this Remington Model 6 single-shot 22, made 1930. It's kind of worn, but I do enjoy shooting it.
