A new SIG P225a1 came home
I was itching for a compact metal 9mm. Every time I held the new SIG P225a1, it felt perfect. Decided to bring one home today, brand new.
It's not much larger than my Colt Defender. It feels like a full size gun in the hand, but carries like a compact gun on the belt.
Anyone else have one of these? experience welcomed.

Congratulations!
I have been eye balling and fondling the P225-A1 at my LGS.
Feels good, looks good and I'm sure I would be pleased.
Only thing holding me back is I have the P239 and the original P225 wearing new night sights and Hogue aluminum grips.
Hard to justify adding the A1 to the fold right now, but eventually I will have one.

For the price, size and proprietary mags I skipped right over it

It balances in the hand superbly.
The size is 'just' right. Fit and finish, in my opinion, justifies the price tag.

I'm a big fan of Sig pistols, and I'm sure that new P225 is a nice gun with many advancements over older models, but I would be reluctant to spend the money to replace my 1980, West German P6. After I bought it, I found it to be a much better pistol for me than the P239 and any thing in plastic. Old or new they are terrific guns. Enjoy it.
