My entire Winchester Model 92 collection. Let's see yours!
All two of them, and only one is a Winchester. Top an original takedown .44-40, and on the bottom one of the fine Browning B-92s in .44 Magnum. A recent thread on the 92 variants reminded me that a 16" Rossi in .44 Magnum would me nice to own. That old box is balloon head .44 brass I shot up at the range with my dad when i was about sixteen. Let's see yours. Original, Rossi, Browning, El Tigre, etc....

The Winchester looks like a takedown (?). I've been told they are pretty rare (?).
My grandmother was 1/4 Cherokee and 1/4 Chickasaw (She's was on the tribal rolls and Dawes Roll). So I chased down a Colt SA in 38-40 and a 92 take-down in 38-40. Both got here through Ft Smith and the Indian Terrirories.
While on the topic, here's a couple from northern Arizona. The 1901 Bisley was shipped to Mexico City and ended up on the Apache Res. The 1873 came via Flagstaff.

Here's half of my Winchester 1892 collection at this thread: A Couple of .32-20s at the Range Today
The other half is a .44-40 rifle from 1919 that I don't have any photos of. I love them!

Nice guns. How do you like the Browning 92 in 44? I think I have decided after getting some things in order, one of them might be my next purchase.

I'm partial to Winchesters and have a 92 Saddle ring carbine and a full sized rifle.

Here's my two, both Rossi 92's. The bottom one is a .357 I've had for about seven years now. I've gotten pretty good with it, if a target presents itself within 100 yards, it's doomed.
The top one is a .44 Magnum I just got. I think it will be as fun to shoot as the .357.....
If you notice, the finish on the bottom .357 rifle is lighter in color. I got caught out in a rain down pour this past summer and the stain ran off it. Looked tiger stripe for a while. Not as pretty finish as Winchesters or Marlins, but not near as much money either.
Found the reciept for the .357 from seven years ago, $469. The .44 Magnum I bought less than a month ago, $489...

I have a Winchester 94AE in 30-30, I used to have a Rossi in .357 and I still have the Red Ryder BB gun I got for Christmas about 30 years ago
If I get another lever gun it will be a 1887 12g Bootleg Deluxe from Taylors.

Not really a collection, this is my only Winchester 92, it was made in 1892 as a rifle in 44-40, at some point it got re barreled to a carbine in .44 Magnum, I like shooting .44 Specials out of it. It is a companion rifle to my 2nd Model HE's in .44 Special.

The 'most fun to shoot' in my Winchester collection is a takedown Model 1892 in 32-20. Has a tang-mounted sight, and it shoots better than I do.

How about an 1892 made in 1904 in 98% original unmolested
condition. Sporting rifle in 44-40.

Here's the .44-40 taken down. This rifle was my dad's. As mentioned in another thread, a forum member here discovered a brand in a book identicle to the one in the rifle's stock. The area is about three hours from me.

Not sure what you're seeing, Wyatt. I don't have a rifle with a 3/4 magazine. The Bowning 53 is just a high-dollar 92 with a better finish, pretty wood and a HALF magazine, but that Marlin is full length.
Model 1889, predecessor to the 1894. 38/40 (can't be a 38 WINCHESTER Central Fire - Marlin did not allow the "Evil W Word" to be on their barrels). I believe I dated it to 1891.

Cannot show a Winchester 92, but have a late 80's Rossi 92, .357 magnum with 16" barrel blued finish, and Puma cat emblem in the left side of the receiver. Bought new, wanted a 20", but a gunsmith at the LGS convinced me to try the 16"! Turns out he was right, very handy and can lot of fun, mainly with .38 special lead SWC. My son, when he was much younger and I used to go out and mortar lob low velocity .38 specials way down range using an old metal trash can for a target! Dust flying showed misses even with the low velocity 158 gr. SWC. That and using several .22 LR rifles from the backyard down into cattails swaying in the breeze! Good practice for ground squirrels, and moles! When the wife wanted a nap, it was a RWS 134 on black walnuts high overhead! Fun Sunday afternoons of 25+ years ago!!

I have only one real Winchester Model 1892 Carbine in .44 WCF. It has a low serial number, made in the second year, if I remember correctly.
When I heard that one of my friends died of a sudden heart attack, I bought one of the new Winchester Model 1892 Deluxe Takedowns, also in .44 WCF. I have it to memorialize him. I call it Vero's Rifle.
I also have Winchester Model 1892 receiver and a bunch of spare parts. That is a future project. I'm thinking of building it into a .25-20 rifle.

I'm a '92 fan as well but mine is a EMF (made by Rossi) in .38/357. I've taken several coyotes and whitetail deer with it. One of my favorite shooters.

This .32-20 saddle-ring-carbine dates from 1896 and is a special favorite for carrying on hikes.

I have a very much used somewhat tired 92 in 25-20. It was given me by a long departed very dear friend. I treasure it above all my other firearms.
I'll try to post a picture.

Ok, most of yours are cooler and real Winchesters, but I still want to play. Here’s my 1892 replica by Rossi, at least it is an early one from Interarms, without the stupid safety on top of the bolt. It’s a 44 mag too, real fun to shoot.
