Default What would you folks think of a 357 maximum Ruger 77/357?

I have heard that the Ruger 77/357 has now been discontinued. A 357mag bolt rifle seemed ok but the lever rifles have that area covered. I think if that rifle was chambered in 357 maximum it would have gone over way better, heck I'd have bought one in a second. Also it would have chambered 357mag & 38spl too. Chime in and let me know your feelings on this thought.

Default Great Idea

I cant believe Ruger doesnt revive this caliber for the 77/357 and their bigger double action pistols. For places that allow pistol caliber rifles for big game this would be a home run.
BTW I never owned this rifle but I've never heard of any but mediocre accuracy from these rifles
PS How about a X frame 8 shooter in 357 Max

A .357/77 might appeal to some folks but not to me.

I once bought a beautiful walnut stock Ruger .44/77. It was the most inaccurate little rifle I ever owned. 12" - 18" groups @ 100 yards from sandbags.

I like it but not in a bolt gun. Would be a great little deer gun if Ruger brought back their lever rifle in it.
