Check out that rack, are those 44's? (pic)...
Yes they are, .44 Magnums that is!
I have been doing a lot of .44 Magnum shooting of late, with my Ruger 77/44, Rossi 92 carbine, Ruger Super Blackhawk and Redhawk. Handloading helps with the cost....

Nice. An hour ago I ordered a Ruger SBH .44mag. 7.5" barrel.
I hope to get a lever gun in a few months. I'm really looking at those Rossis or the older JM Marlin.
How's your Rossi? You like it? Any action troubles?

I like the Rossi 92, I just bought the .44 Magnum one in the above post, but I have had a .357 caliber Rossi 92 for about six years, and it has been great. Very smooth action, accurate with cast lead or jacketed rounds.
I have owned several pistol caliber lever rifles including a JM marked Marlin, Winchester 94 Trapper, I have sold all of them and just have the Rossi's now. The Marlin was nice, too nice to take out into the field (Walnut stock, high polish blue). The Winchester Trapper was clunky and not very accurate.
You'll like the Rossi 92....

I have one of those 77/44's and really enjoy shooting it. It's a pleasure once the trigger is tickled into submission.

I have the 357/77 and I had a Volquartsen trigger installed and it is a sweetheart. Great trigger and a real fun gun with a 3X scope.
