Default New (to me) Revolver

I went to a place today with a friend to look at some "gun stuff". Good grief and holy Toledo! The fellow had some gun stuff for certain. I bought a few things like a scope and some shellholders..then the fellow brought out a really nice Colt Python..4 inch gun. Had a set of Custom stocks he said were made by a guy named Fuzzy Ferrant? He also has the original stocks too. Well I started drooling... and thinking... and though I probably paid too much I told him I'd take it. Didn't have 'nuff cash with me so I gave him a deposit and gonna pick it up tomorrow.... along with some other stuff... even S&W stuff. Mostly parts...lots of barrels cylinders etc. Some Colt series 70s slides too. Evidently the fellow was a smith at one time down in California I think. I also bought a new set of stocks by Ferrant for a Python. Don't know why I bought the extra stocks. Don't have a clue on value of the stocks but they are pretty. Gonna clean out the mad money and buy the gun and all the gun parts I can afford. The fellow had a neat item though..Had a Colt Python mounted on a board, cylinder blown and the top strap gone. He said a fellow brought it in the shop... asking if he could fix it! I guess not, huh?

Default A pretty Revolver

Finally got a pic of that pretty new acquisition. Hope the pics show up ok. This has an unreal trigger on it. Better than my best S&W trigger for certain. In all the parts I got for Colt's ther are about 70 barrels total..from Detective specials SAA Python Trooper Dback and Woodsmans. In all that mess I only got 2 S&W bbls though. A 6 inch nickel 41 mag bbl and an 8 3/8 inch 44 Mag..also nickel. Pythons are pretty guns though

You got a lot of nice "gun stuff" there. I bet it's like Christmas morning at your place right now.

Not too much like Christmas. I have to go back east to Delaware to visit with a couple of doctors soon and am picking up another mess of gun parts and reloading items. There are quite a few new S&W parts in that batch though. And some Winchester parts...which really make me feel Christmas-y. They are really easy to sell here in Cody when they have the Winchester gun show in July. Only Winchester gun I bought there this year was a Model 100 in 284..kinda rare...but not one of the mega thousand dollar guns.
