Not sure if I will ever be able to upgrade again
After making a moderate start at accumulating, the pursuit turned to better not more.
Many on the gun boards attest to following a similar path.
Now, however, I may have reached the limit of upgrading while staying within my means.
I seriously question whether I will ever improve on these:
Shotguns
Full size handguns
Pocket guns
Rifles
Not that I am complaining mind you
But does this mean I am heretofore out of the hunt?

Unlike the Rolling Stones, you've got satisfaction ..... but I see a compact version of a full sized revolver, though no compact version of a full sized semi-auto. Plus, a Browning design lever rifle or Colt design SAA is never out of place. Is that helpful?

A luger or a broomhandle would fit nicely in that collection.

Not at all. I have a simple fix. Just send me all the above to "safekeep" for you and then you can start all over again!!
Seriously, they all look superb to me!

A fine collection you have. Thanks for sharing. My old 94 Winchester doesn't fit. It's been too many miles & gotten many bucks.

You are done, kaput, finished.
Yeah right........
Looks like you have the bases covered and it would
be very difficult to upgrade those wonderful firearms.
Congrats, Chuck

Moralem: Concerning the stock for your Mauser. If it has the Mauser logo on the other side, and if the stock attaching lug does NOT have a 3 digit serial number, it is the correct one for that model Mauser.

You just captured an idea that's been bouncing around my brain for a month or three. I've got great guns, both pistols and rifles, but a lot of them and I can't shoot them all.
Was it tough selling off some of the "kids" and replacing the good with great. I really like what I have but know I have too many. (EXAMPLE: Walther P1/P38, Beretta 1951, Beretta 92s, Beretta 92FS to show the progression from the P38 to 92fs. Ditch the 1951 and 92s and shoot the P1 and 92?

While you have excellent examples of those categories, I could probably send you a page or two of categories not represented there.
Start with a mint Hi-Power and call me in the morning.

Unfortunately the stcok is a reproduction. I had the gun but never the stock and the gun was in terrible condition, so,I had it refurbished. I am not a purist when it comes to my accumulation, I just like what I have to look good and to function.

You don't have Mid-sized handguns; K & L frame Smiths or D framed Colts.
I've started selling down, but one of my favorite categories was "Pimp Guns"! Small Nickel plated top-break revolvers with 3" or shorter barrels, in 38 S&W, 32 or 22RF. I'm down below 20 and falling. I also collected Military single shot rifles. There are several sub-categories: Trapdoor, Rolling Block, Falling Block, & Turn Bolt. I'm down from 17 to 5 (a condo just doesn't have the space).
I didn't see any good 22 rifles or revolvers, everybody needs a good 22 for Summer and one for indoor during winter!
I met a man that collected military 1911 type pistols. One from each manufacturer. Counting foreign arsenals he was at 20 something, including the SINGER and USS&S and a 2 Norwegians WWI and a Nazi. There is a sub-category Colt made for other nations commonally called "Contract Guns" (There are dozens plus variations!)
Just give us half a chance and we'll spend all your grandkid's inheritance!
Ivan

Some great guns you have there, but someone beat me to the lack of a quality Hi-Power!
Also, at least for me, I see a lack of lever actions!

Beautiful and well rounded collection of firearms. I would be proud to call it my own.
If it were my own, though, I probably would add some kind of handy .22 rifle (Win 61, 62A, 63 or an older Marlin 39A) and also some kind of 9mm pistol (Hi Power, Sig P228, S&W Mod 39, etc…).

Upgrades would be a challenge for your collection... but expansion, as others have mentioned are unlimited... if you are content you have achieved the goal many of us never will... congratulations... BUT if the itch needs scratching... this place can spend your money like no other...lol

If you can see, & drive, you are not out of the hunt! I have stayed at the same number of guns for a few years now. I do keep upgrading though. Don't know if I'll ever stop.
Last, but not least......... Nice examples you have there!!! Bob
