That's a 22-4 of 2009 vintage.

Thank you. I need to pay more attention. Wider flutes suggest N, short cylinder says 45 ACP. And I've GOT one.

Maybe it was the nickel confusing me.

I got kind of carried away with my father son set of lever actions.





Top to bottom, small Red Ryder, normal Red Ryder, Henry Youth .22, Marlin 39a, Rossi .38/.357, Marlin 30/30.

Pretty much every rifle a man needs from toddler to adult. Although I've been wanting to add a .22magnum, and just found out Henry is making one in .308

The kid has a youth sized Daisy BB lever gun. It's fun and relatively accurate for what it is. It gave him a real leg up on the rest of his Boy Scout peers.

When I was a lad of 10, my ol man gave me a brand new in the box Remington 580 single shot rifle.I got to shoot it on occasion...Had my son at 25... At that time, and for a decade after ha a place in the family where we could shoot regularly. After Brian turned around six, I sat him down at the shooting table with the 580, and a box of 22s. (Over the years I had scoped the ol girl, and had someone fix the awful trigger). That started him on the road to being a shooter...Over the years he sat beside us and must have fired a brick or two...Couple years back I restocked it with a really nice walnut stock, as a reward for 45 years of fun and faithful service. February 3 2016, He and his wife presented me (and the world) my first grand kid. I am planning on gifting the 580 to him next year after a nice even 50 years of ownership. By that time I should have a nice buttplate made...

My uncle passed this Red Ryder BB gun to my father when he left for World War II, I inherited it last year. They let me shoot it now and then when I was a kid.
