The Christy Knife Company, LLC
The Christy Knife Company, LLC is in a modern iteration of a knife company that has been around for three quarters of a century. Their history can be found on line if you are interested. The Christy Knife Company | Home of the handiest pocket knife ever designed
My dad carried one of these knives forever and ever and I still have one of his on a keychain with my truck key plus I have another that is broken and that I might fix. I recently discovered that they still made these so I bought two and will be carrying one routinely myself now that I have extras.
I'm just curious to see if anyone else is familiar with them.

VERY familiar...
my late father carried one every day of his life that I can remember... and became a dealer at one point in the late 70's early 80's to make sure all his children had at least one... 3 boys and 2 girls... we have all bought them for our kids as well... they are a great little knife... I have 3 still... and have often thought about getting another "case" of them... if they still sell them that way...

robvious, I don't know what a "case" of them is or was but if there are a goodly quantity of them I bet they can do something for you. They actually have 4 models now. I bought the basic/standard model but if I buy more I might get one of the jazzier ones.

Takes me back--I haven't seen one of those in many years. I may have to check out the new ones.

I have one of those around somewhere. They are located about 30 miles from my home. I thought they had been out of business for many years! Thanks for the post.

I think my father got a "Dealer Display" I think it had 18 originals-nickel and 6 executives-black... it was long ago... I checked the website, doesn't look like that is an option... but I might have to contact them and see what kind of deal I could get on a dozen... just don't tell the wife...lol

Well that's a new one on me. I'll have to look for them at the next knife show.

Let me know if they show up at a knife show!
Apparently, based on the above, they must have always had a couple of versions. I was only familiar with the basic version.
I was asked to cut the flaps off a large cardboard box this afternoon. Instead of reaching for my Boker switchblade or my SAK Tinker I used my Christy - HOLY SMOKES!!!!! It went though that corrugated cardboard like a hot knife through butter!
I checked its edge the other day on a thick brochure-type item I got in the mail. I checked my old one's edge on the same piece of mail - the old Christy cut as well as the new one and it is EASILY 50 years old and looks used, too. Razor sharp!

Don't remember ever seeing one, but my curiosity was piqued. Ordered one off the website.

Funny thing - if enough of us buy them they could go public on the unexpected volume of business!
