Default Thoughts on Sig P320SC

I was at a local gun show a few weeks back and had the chance to handle a Sig P320 Sub Compact 9 mm. I'm carrying a Shield 9 mm now and I don't own a double stack. It peaked my interest since it can be interchanged with other platforms. Anyone who owns one here with positive or negative reviews would be appreciated.

I bought a sig p320 sub C when they first came out in 9mm . After about a yr decided I would rather have a Compact size and wanted it in 357 sig . One phone call to Sig gave me exactly what I wanted . The " kit " arrived at my door (no ffl required) for the new frame size and caliber change . I couldn't be happier . If I decide to go back to a sub C in 9mm I still have all the parts . I liked it as a 9mm subC , I like it even more as a C in 357 sig . It's very very accurate in both sizes and calibers , best trigger ever . I have the best of both worlds . Hope this helps .

Overall the 320 has had overwhelmingly positive feedback. I have a small interest in one as well but it's pretty low on my list of wants. Not because there is anything wrong with it ....I just don't see me changing from my current carry.

They sell them as fast as they come in at our local shop. Feedback on them is always very positive from the owners on their way back through.

That said, one of it's big selling points is it's ability to change into something else. Been There-Done That and found I'd rather own multiple dedicated guns than one "Mister Potato Head" platform. Maybe I'm just lazy though as I don't even swap Ar-15 uppers anymore.
FWIW, I find nothing wrong with my M&P compacts.

The P320 series is interesting to me. That said, I don't own any.
Until the announcement of the P320 becoming the replacement for the M9, I really never gave it a second look. I was mostly of the opinion that a striker fired semi-auto is a striker fired semi-auto. Seen one, seen em all.

But, I did make a point to handle a P320 at the local fun shop recently. The trigger is different to me. Has a sort of mushy take up with a pretty clean break. Felt different to me than Glocks or the only M&P I have. I could get used to it. YMMV

I'm a huge Sig fan. That said, when the 320s came out I was more like "a little late to the party guys...nice pistol and kinda cool you can swap the fire control part around like legos, but nothing overwhelming." Then I bought one and started shooting it as much or more as the other plastic guns. It didn't take long to realize that I went to it almost exclusively over the others.

I recently picked up my second, this one with a red dot on it so I can start playing in that world.

Next up will be either a caliber conversion kit or a new "size" frame/slide to use for different carry options.

I think you'll see in the next few years, they will be the frontrunners for plastic striker fired guns.
