I want to play, here’s a few that I have. The Single Six 22 and Blackhawk 357 are both stainless, both “76” Centennial models and both 6 ½” barrels. The Vaquero is a 45 Colt, 5 ½” barrel, original model. The Bearcat is stainless 22 cal.

This configuration works quite well for me. It points very naturally and the birds head grip fits my palm well. Recoil is sharp with factory magnum ammo, but doable. For a day at the range I prefer to shoot 44 Special. The Buffalo Bore heavy 44 Special with a 255 grain Keith bullet is a good load for it.

I've got a few. Here are some old model Vaqueros and one Blackhawk.
A Single Six.
A Bearcat.
An old model Vaquero Sheriff's model in .45 Colt.
And of course, the one that has gone on just about every pack trip with me and the pack string for almost thirty years..****ger Blackhawk in .45 Colt.

Here's a group of .44 Specials. The two Rugers are Old Model .357s that Alan Harton converted for me. I sold the 5 1/2" one, but still have the 4 5/8". It was converted by using a Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum barrel. It was slightly oversized in diameter and Alan turned down a mite. This eliminated the Ruger "billboard" warning.
I have a 4 5/8" SBH that I cut down from 7 1/2". It has been fitted with a Bisley grip. A 4 5/8" .45 Colt/.45 ACP New Model, an Old Army, a stainless NM Bearcat and a three digit .357 Flat top round out my Ruger SA collection. I'll have to take pictures of those.

Recently sold 6 3-screw models including 2 Flattops. These are the only remaining Ruger SAs I have. The 3 screw 45 was only made from 1971-1973. The little Bearcat is on of my favorites.

The day I got my pistol permit, I went to the LGS, to order a single six. This used .357 Blackhawk called my name and went home with me instead.

I knew there were a large number of Ruger single action owners on this forum and you are showing some very fine revolvers. Over the years I let several leave my collection including a rather uncommon 5.5 inch Single-Six Bisley two-tone, blued with a stainless grip frame. One I don't miss, a 7.5 inch NM Blackhawk in .30 Carbine.
Keep the photos coming!

After S&W DA's, Ruger SA's are next most common in my stable. This is my latest, and currently what I'm shooting most...

low 4 digit flattop 44
flat gate 22 with factory ivories in original box. I took the picture to highlight the color in the ivories and the bluing went DEEP on the gun. It looks like a ruger in hand.

No offense intended, but I just had to comment on this photo. Must be the camera angle or lens distortion, but that barrel appears to be bent downward.
Might not want to use that pic in a For Sale ad.

Its made that way to account for the tremendous recoil of the most powerful handgun in the world (a little dated).

Original ('56 I think) Ruger 44magnum Flat Top.
Was someones fast draw revolver. Pretty whipped when I got it, so a good candidate for a project. I still have the guys home-made open front holster somewhere.
The gun had a Super Blackhawk un-fluted cylinder in place. I took that and 'fluted' it to mimic the originals. Came with it's orig 6.5" bbl and a 10" bbl.
Factory confirmed the shorter was the one shipped on the gun.
I replaced the banged up aluminum triggerguard/backstrap with a Power Custom all steel 2-piece unit like on a Colt SAA. Same dimentions as a Colt. Fitted and finished a set of 2 piece ivory grips to it w/ Ruger medallions.
I think it had the steel ejector rod housing already,,if it didn't I put one on.
Original steel Micro sight needed some repair and straightening from a few oops fast draws but came through fine.
All polished up I engraved it and did a little gold inlay. A hot blue completed the project,,,,then I sold it!
On to the next one....

Well this is my only Ruger revolver.
Really like the Mirror sights on it but just cannot get used to the way it ejects. Going to stick with my Smiths.
Ruger Flatgate 40461 Think its pretty early but not sure.
