Default The Other Model 19

Now that I'm retired, I figured I'd get something different to carry. Not for everyone, but I like it. I'm hoping to get it to the range on Monday to make sure it's reliable before it gets into my Holster. I've been carry the G23 (.40 cal) for about 16 years now and trying to decide if I want to go back to 9mm. That too will go to the range with me on Monday for a comparison.

I much prefer the Glock 17 to the 23. Fits my hand better, less recoil and since I no longer go in harm's way, no need for a .40.

I wish I still had my second-generation G19.

Old Cop-

We all live in harm's way. You're at less risk when retired, but evil is always present.

Man I hope not. Won't be real effective against the bad guys.

Just something unique I wanted to do. I've watched to many John Wick movies lately.

And in your neck of the woods, you'd call this a Barbecue Gun.

I kinda like it. Can you give us a breakdown on what all was done? Did you buy anything or was the work done to your pistol?

Actually there is a guy on GB selling the complete slide w/barrel for $450. It's a Nickel Boron finish which he calls battle worn. I requested less battle worn (darker finish). I swapped out the barrel for the gold ZEV barrel. I also added Ameriglo Hackathorn sights. Lower is stock with 3.5 connector.

Shot great at 7 yards. I think these Hackathorn sights are my new favorite.
