Default Range Report -- 1943 M1911A1

1943 Ithaca M1911A1

Big change from my other handguns.
Had trouble getting accuracy first two times at the range.
But now it gets the job done.

5 rounds very carefully and deliberately at 5 yards

Nice. Also have a 1943 Ithaca 1911a1. I replaced the recoil spring and firing pin spring also the springs in the WWII mags. Put on some later military surplus grips to keep wear off of the original Keyes fiber Bakelite grips. Kept all original springs in case I ever sell it ( not likely!!!).

Mine is very accurate and operates flawlessly. Small sights take some getting used to.

Enjoy

Looks great. The older we get, the harder those sights are to see.

You mean...
Those barely visible itsy bitsy bumps fore and aft on the top of the slide are sights
