I had one of the E German P1001 pistols some years back. A post war copy of the PP, made by Earnst Thalmann Werk (sp?)
The bunch imported into the USA had fake 'AC' (Walther ) and additional 'Hammerli' stamping on them. The storys were complicated and confusing, but something along the lines of the AC marking to by-pass import restrictions from E Germany at the time and the Hammerli mark to further embellish the story of where the guns were purchased from. Some say the whole story is fiction and that the guns are simply reworked war-time PP guns, others take one or more of the story lines to heart.
I don't know,,but the pistol was a slam dunk clone of the PP if a bit crude (as the late war guns were). The 'AC' applied mark was on the wrong side of the slide if it was wartime applied from any others I've seen.
Hey, it was cheap (IIRC $75 at the time ,,early 90's I think).
Don't have a picture of the one I had, but here's a link to some pics of some DDR issue P1001 pistols (no 'fake' AC or Hammerli markings on these!) These look pretty nice as far as finish goes.

There was the Turkish Kirkkale Arsenal PP clone, the MKE..Turk service pistols made in the late 40's. A friend had one in .380 and it ate everything in fmj. Not too bad as far as finish and fit too. I think they were available in 32acp as well.
The Chinese made a copy of the PPK also,,what don't they make a copy of.
Complete w/ Walther slide markings and Walther banner grip. They only lack the grooves in the top rib on the slide. Markings on the slide are a bit off centered and crooked it's reported and there are some Chinese language markings on the slide also indicating Army issue on the ones seen.
DA trigger geometry redesigned a bit to give better trigger pull.
Deffinetly not one-of pistols, but rare for sure at least in the West. Cal 32cp.
All I have left is one '37/38 mfg PPK 32acp Eagle/C marked. 2 magazines w/ Berlin maker marked holster. Gets shot once in a while for kicks, Very accurate. Carried a '66mfg PPK in 22LR for years
