Default Beretta APX

The past 2 weeks seems like I have been getting e-mails from Beretta about their new striker fired pistol the APX at least once a day .. Anyone else getting the adds ?

Seem the pistol should be in stores sometime toward the end of the month ..

Looks very interesting .. and will make Beretta one of a handful of companies making both steel frame hammer pistols and the plastic striker fired light weight pistols that are so popular these days ..

Well today I got a fancy brochure from them so thought I would pass it on and let everyone see Beretta's new offering ..

Interesting to say the least. I am not ready for this type, still being a 3rd Gen kind of guys.

I got this email notice, too; I should have checked it out, just because.....

Is it the new look ?? I'm guessing this was the gun the US turned down over the Sig 320 .. since the trigger assembly is what is serialized .. much like Sig's ..

The large serrations along with the large trigger guard might go along with maybe wearing heavy gloves or hazardous material suits in a military type of situation ..

Nope, and I have to be honest that I am a bit disappointed to be out of the loop on the APX. I am a very big fan or Beretta's pistols, Beretta being my second favorite manufacturer behind S&W, and I have been intrigued by their new offering since I first saw info on them a year or so ago. Hopefully the LGS will have one soon to look at...

This was the Beretta in the military trials that lost to the Sig.
MAC on full30/youtube already has a review on it. He liked it. Wasn't crazy about the look of the slide but said it's growing on him as no matter where you grab the slide you get a good grip on it.
Not in the market for a poly striker fired but I'm curious to see what Beretta with this APX and CZ with the P-10C do for a compact. Maybe a companion for my Glock 26.

I've seen one and handled one at the bigger independent gun store in town. It is goofy looking. The grip contour is nice. The trigger press is what I've come to expect from what I call the next-generation of factory OEM striker fired triggers that began with the Walther PPQ. Everyone is coming out with a next generation striker fired trigger: XD-Mod2, M&P 2.0, Canik, H&K VP9, Sig P320.

I've learned not to be an initial release early adopter. I've been burned twice. I'd rather wait a year or two and let others expose the flaws and issues that can only be discovered through real world use.

Ugly! I hope they don't drop the M-92FS.

I dislike striker fired guns and dislike plastic frames.

I waited a few years after the PX- 4 came out to get one in the sub compact model and love it .. one of the smoothest stock triggers I have shot .. its my present carry .. it's in 9mm and am thinking on one in 40 .. a caliber I also like .. and which my other carry a S&W Compact is in ..

I kind of like the look of the large serrations on the APX .. I haven't seen or handled one in person .. I believe they were released this week .. Will be going to the large box gun store tomorrow and will look for one ..

A few things I like is ---
5-6 pound trigger pull
Flat trigger
10/15/17 round magazine in 9mm with a 20 round extend magazine available .. 15 rounds for the 40 ..
inter-changeable frames but doesn't list the frame sizes and whether there will be a sub-compact model ..
