Cot Frontier Sixshooter cased set
This 1873/1973 Colt Centennial .44-40 came in a "leatherette" factory case. But it looks better in this unpretentious old case a friend made up for me in the 1980s. He scrimshawed my initials on an ivory piano key fixed under the lid. I had an original Colt .44 special cylinder mated to the gun, too.The Centennials were made just like the 1880s guns in every way, except some writing on the barrels. I think they made 2002 of these. This gun had been fired prior to my wife buying it for me so I shoot it too. But I would have, anyway.

Beautiful piece Wyatt and thanks for sharing. Kicking myself I did not buy that Sheriff's Model back when Colt made repros back around 80-81. Should have whipped out the ole plastic and not been so cheap!!

That's a looker for sure!
I've been bit by the single action Colt bug and it sure cuts into the gun money quick & deep!
Let us in on a range report.

Love those Colt Saa's
Thanks for sharing Wyatt.
That is a wonderful looking set-up with the case and extra cylinder.

I have a range report for it. I took it and two other sixguns, a New Model 3 .22, and a 1917 Colt .45, and the low light of the indoor range was horrible for my eyes with those sights. The Target Model #3 .22 conversion shot great but again those dinky sights were murder. I'll try them all outside next time. I can see squirrels moving around in trees three houses away, but can't see anything but a blur up close without glasses. And the sights were hard to see WITH glasses. I might prove to be a horrible shot with these guns in good light, too. We'll see.
