Default H&R model 157

The subject is a single shot break action 22 Hornet with a Mannlicher style forearm. Does anyone know the trick to getting the forearm off ? It came to me in a multigun purchase, and I know nothing about these. Any information would be appreciated. Is this a SB1 or SB2 ? What is the word on barrel fitting and interchangability ? Is the 20 gage shotgun easier ? They rifles seem to have almost a cult following, some of the the barrels i see on ebay are going for as much, or more, then I paid for this rifle, $249.00 +tax+deros/4. From what I read they are accurate. Any insite, suggestions or experience anyone can share would be appreciated.

I had a 26" non-Mannlicher version. It was the best shooting 22 Hornet of the 27 that I've owned! Spare barrels are fittable but hardly worth the price/effort. I and thinking the forend removes with downward pressure at the front. Value: $250 plus tax is ballpark. Ammo: these were made in the 46 grain era, however the 35 grain Hornady V-max ammo should shoot 1/2" at 100 with a good scope!
