Default CA Bulldog .45 Colt owners?

I have the .44 Special Bulldog and have been tempted to get the .45 Colt version.
Finally pulled the trigger and have one coming.
Any of you own one of the big dogs and how well does it shoot cast lead bullets?
I load for .45 Colt along with other calibers and think a full wad cutter at 800 FPS would be perfect for this little shooter.

I didn't know CA even made one in .45 Colt until I stumbled across this thread.

I found a review of the gun from almost a year ago here, but I can't seem to find the gun in CA's online catalog.

If you're only going to load for 800fps, though, I don't see much advantage over their Pitbull in .45acp shooting a 230-grain bullet at around 850fps. Maybe the advantage might be in a heavier bullet?

When you get the gun, I'll sure be interested to hear what you think of it. Do you anticipate delivery soon?

No, but the .41 Magnum Model will be my next acquisition. I’m also thinking a SWC at around 800 fps will make a nice carry round. I want the .41 Pug because I already have a Smith Model 58. Good luck and keep us posted!
