Lever action day
The wife and I drove to a small gun shop yesterday. This store is one of our favorites. Sadly, he was clearing out his inv. and
closing the shop. I was looking at some 22 ammo when I heard my wife ask, how much for the golden boy. Then she said I'll take
it. We paid out then she asked if I was interested in any other guns. I said I'd like to have the Marlin mod 94 in 32-20. The stock had a repair on a bad break and the rear sight needs to
be replaced. The rifle was made in 1898 and the rifle still looks and works very good, I think it'll be a shooter. Here's a pic of
our new 22 and the 119 year old 32-20.

Any day involving lever actions is a good day.
Cool to hear your wife is a kindred spirit. Lucky man.

I've got a old Marlin 94 in 32/20. It is a never sell family gun.
I use it often to hunt Squirrel. Found as with other rifles of
this period in 32/20 & 25/20, they do better with cast bullets.
I shoot 98g FN/ Unique, at 40yds it will do a 5 shot, 1" group.
Bore in mine is dark, but not pitted or rusted. Action feels like
it is on bearings compared to the remakes. I have a 25/20 that
has been bubba-ed with inlays in wood. I D&T for scope was my
wife's garden gun. I have several other Rifles in 32/20 and 25/20
none of them shoot jackets as well as cast. I have a Win 32/20
that has a bore like a new dime, made in 30s. It likes cast too.
