KIMBER Super Carry Ultra+
I'm liking it more and more.. may have to head to my LGS on Thursday  . Anybody have first hand experience the + model?

I like them both! I actually don't have any preference, they're both great guns.

Super Carry Ultra
The slight rounding of the butt on the Super Carry Ultra makes a significant difference. I wouldn't have thought it would really matter until I compared it side by side with my Ultra CDP that I've been carrying since I believe 1999 or 2000. It was the year Kimber first introduced them, I just don't remember the year of introduction for certain. Anyway, I've been carrying the Ultra CDP ever since, but after purchasing the two new Supers, the CDP has definitely taken a back seat position.

I have a Super Carry Pro, the commander size - my favorite 1911 for carry.

I don't like the rounded mainspring housing. Doesn't feel good in the hand. But they carry a LITTLE better, not worth the difference to me. I'll carry a 5" Gov.

Still very happy with my Series I original Ultra Carry dating back to 1999; my cold weather EDC....

I have the old style Pro CDP. In fact, I bought it the day after I bought the Ultra CDP shown in the post above. It shoots great, but believe it or not, it's just not as accurate as the Ultra CDP.

I have had 2 Kimbers. One, well I won't talk about. The other, my favorite carry piece is a Ultra Carry II. It has several thousand rounds through it and still shooting fine! I'm getting ready to have the sights replaced. Going dim with age.
