Browning barrels
Are all Browning A-5 barrels interchangeable? For example, will a barrel from a Sweet Sixteen made in 1970 fit a Sweet Sixteen made in 1957?

IIRC the sweet sixteen bbls will interchange including japanese but a std 16 ga A5 i think used a different bbl. Also chamber length changed in the the '30s from 2 9/16 to 2 3/4 so be careful.

I have a Light 12 from 1954 and I picked up a barrel from a 70’s Japanese standard 12 ga. The barrels are both are 2 ¾” chambers yet not the same, the ring on the barrels are in a different location. Be careful, don’t buy without trying first.
