What does it say on the left side of the barrel. There is usually a model name.

It appears to be a Police Positive Special, with the longer cylinder than a PP. I would guess in the $300-350 range unless you paid a lot more (or less) .

I agree. It's in quite the shooter condition. I have seen ones local in much better for around the $500 mark. Although some people see a pony on the side and automatically think they are least worth $4/500.
It it had a snake name someone would pay $500+ I imagine. Even though it's identical mechanical wise. Just with a 4" barrel. If it's a good shooter I would just hang onto it and enjoy. Fantastic shooters.

Its been a long time since I have seen a $350 Colt revolver. That gun will bring in the $550 range

I am not up on Colt prices, so I did a quick GB search on completed 4" PPS auctions in the last 90 days. Six were sold between $210 and 380 (the latter being a really nice one that probably went for too little), and two exceptional ones at $550 and 575. Lots of 80-90% guns that had no bids in the $300-400 range.
