Default Sig P938 Mag extension?

Just bought a slightly used Sig 938 on a whim (mainly because the price was too good to pass on.) It's a nicely built and cool little 1911 type gun but I'm just not thrilled about the shortness of the grip with the standard 6 round flush mag. I know Sig makes an extended 7 round mag for it but I don't see dropping another $40 on a mag for a gun that will likely rarely get used. (I like my BG380 for little gun carry.) So I'm looking for a thick base pad/pinky extension that an be added to the original mag. Oddly, I'm not finding anything obvious on the net.

Anyone else been there-done that before I start cutting on 1911 mag bumpers ?
Thanks,
Dave

Bought my 938 used from an individual and it came with a plastic finger piece that slips down on a regular magazine. Feels great. No name on it but apparently there are some things out there somewhere. Here's some pics. Good luck.

Edit: re-read your post and you already know about the 7-rounders with the pinky extension, sorry.

That's the 7 round extended mag you have pictured. My Scorpion came with a 6 and 7 round mag. I stored the 6 rounder in the gun box. I'll never use it. The 7 round extended is the only way to go. Don't know of any extensions for 6. Sig mags go for about $34 in my area. The extended is a night and day upgrade and makes the gun much more shootable. Might be easier to buy one. You can always recoup the cost if you sell. My bet is you will be selling the BG.

The 7 round mag is the one I use, makes a big difference when handling IMO. You'll also notice that when you rack a round in the chamber and drop the mag, the next round will be seated further forward on the magazine. Pretty sure this is the same way with all the P938's never been an issue for me.

I find it odd that a popular gun like the 938 doesn't have an aftermarket "fix" to make the 6 round mag more versatile/usable.
Guess I'll bite the bullet and buy a 7 round mag while I move a more creative fix for the 6 rounder to the "retirement to do list" later this year.
Just hate spending $ on a safe queen.
