Default CZ p10c?

Just wondering if anyone will be lined up at their LGS to check out the new CZ p10c, apparently Glock's competitor? Rumor is they're supposed to be shipped to distributors on April 27th in CT. I plan on grabbing one and the new Sig p320 X-carry once they get here in the summer. I'm hoping I don't have to wait long. Btw, I'm comparing the CZ to the glock 19. Shot the G19 three different times and I simply can't get into it. I don't like the way it feels in my hands. I'm trying to like it, but can't get there. I'm hoping the CZ satisfies my itch for the G19. I'm wondering how you guys feel about the CZ?

I'm a big fan of CZs, and hope the new striker fired p10 will keep that going... I recently got a CZ P-01, which is around the same size as the Glock 19 and the new CZ p10, but is an all metal/alloy frame gun with DA/SA trigger. What a shooter this P-01 is!! You should check one out, if you haven't already.

I also am pretty invested in Glock 19s, with 3 of them. I shoot them well, but, but not as well as the CZs... Overall, for a carry/self defense gun, it's really heard to beat the Glock 19 with its size, capacity, reliability and simplicity. I'll check out the new CZ, and it might change my mind, but I'm in no rush... I'm actually considering getting a CZ Rami before the p10. I also like the CZ P07 and P09 guns. I like the CZ DA/SA triggers, and the Omega trigger is really nice.

As for the Sig p320, I thinks it's ok. Really nice trigger, but seemed pretty 'top heavy,' I don't prefer guns with a high bore axis. Otherwise, I find the p320 to be pretty unremarkable. Again, happy with the G19 for carry. Now, I do have some classic Sig P series guns (DA/SA) that I really like (P220, P226s, P245 , X5, etc.). Nice quality guns that can really shoot!

I have two on order; one with the standard barrel, and one threaded. With the P10C, CZ has addressed nearly everything I have wished were different about Glocks... No finger grooves, reshaped the back "hump", add an undercut and more room inside the trigger guard, front slide serrations, more slide overhanging the grip, and fully ambidextrous slide stop and mag release, and slightly longer backstrap. As an added bonus, the trigger bar runs down both sides of the frame, which should result in a more uniform trigger pull. For me, the only thing I would have liked better would be for the trigger to return without racking the slide (like the M&P, P320, VP9, APX, etc).

Another bonus is that the mags also work in the P-07; something I wish the APX/PX4 and FNS/FNX did.

I am huge CZ fan, why?, because they are a hammer fired gun. So the P107c won't do it for me, but what it will do is bring some of the "Glock" people to the CZ side

Hi there! Thanks for sharing. Your comments are very insightful. I can appreciate what Glock brings to the market, but I can't get used to it. As for the P-01, I haven't tried it or the 09 or 07.I wish I can find one to try. Also, the NEW p320 hasn't been released yet. It corrects a lot of those issues you discussed...high bore axis and being top heavy. According to the videos, it's a lower bore axis, slimmer frame, cut outs in the top of the slide, flat trigger, high cut under the trigger guard, and awesome sights. Here's a pic and again, Sig said it's not going to be released until the summer.

I think you summed it up beautifully. I'm hoping it shoots well because I would be HIGHLY disappointed if it doesn't. I'm getting the new Sig for carry once it's released and I'm hoping this could be another viable option for a carry/range gun. We'll see. Thanks for commenting!

Do you REALLY want those annoying folks raining on your CZ parade about their "holier than thou" glock? Lol. For a long time, CZ was a well kept secret. Now I think the cat is out of the bag, which may mean higher prices in the future. Good for CZ because they're worth it, but bad for consumers...if they decide to raise their prices with demand.

Thanks for sharing, I didn't know that Sig was coming out with a redesigned p320... I like the looks of it, definitely looks like an improvement! Amazing how these manufacturers keep upping the game by making design/function improvements. Seems like technology, and it's speed of improvements, is finally catching up in the gun industry.

BTW, I share your sentiments on CZ, and how it seems like the secret is getting out. I sure have loved the CZs that I've owned over the past 15 years. I even bought my son a 452 .22 Scout when he was 6, great little rifle, and he loves it, too.

Anyway, nice to see people getting into the sunlight, but I hope it doesn't mean higher prices with higher demand. Plus, CZs are hard enough to find in stock, I hope this doesn't make it worse.

And did I mention, my P-01 fits great in my Glock 19 holsters...

I have gotten use to shooting Blocks, but still don't like them mostly due to grip angle and hump on the 17, to short of a grip on the 19, and mussy triggers on both so if the new CZ P10C out does the Gock then I will be getting one.

Yes, higher prices would not be nice. As you talked about the technology component of making a gun, it's like as soon as you get used to your new purchase, here comes an updated version or another gun that's juuuuust a little better. Now you're trying to come up with a great reason to justify the new purchase. Lol.
As for the other CZ's I really have to find a range that has them...nothing up this way. Also, the p10c is supposed to fit some of glock's holsters as well.

I'm right there with you, Gary. I have a fun firearms and I can appreciate glock (block, flock...lol) and I feel like I should have at least ONE in my collection, but I feel like i'd be wasting money because it just doesn't do it for me. Maybe it's an acquired taste. If I find a 19 cheap and if I have the money to spend it annnnnd if the p10c disappoints then I think I would grab it. In essence, I guess all of the stars have to align in order for me to purchase one.

There are a few new guns out there that were built to compete with the Glock 19. That's a tall order but I think it will happen eventually.

I'm intrigued by the new CZ. But I'm so heavily invested in my G19 that I won't ever switch. I shoot it too well to be messing with "perfection".

Line up waiting to check out the gun? No! I'll wait till they're common enough to just walk in and fondle one. Like with the 320. I've handled them but have yet to handle one with a large grip. The medium doesn't feel too bad but that's just holding it and not actually shooting.

I honestly don't have any serious interest in it. I hope it's good and I hope they become popular and prove to be reliable but so far every gun I've bought to replace the G19 has ended up in the same place. Either in the safe or traded off. I always find some flaw that doesn't work for me, usually it has to do with the grip or the thickness of those guns.

All Sigs have high bore axis, from the P series to the 320. However, if you shoot most of them you'll find the recoil is less. At least that is for me. When shooting my G19 and Sig 2022 (Sig Pro) side by side the G19 feels like it recoils more and has more muzzle flip. Nothing drastically different but enough to notice when it has half the bore axis of the 2022

Hahaha. I feel you. When you have one that works, keep it! :-) Thanks for sharing.

I believe the new Sigs will not have the high bore axis issue due to the immense modifications. I posted a link of a pic of the new Sig 320 that will be released in the summer. But for me, when I shot it the bore axis wasn't really an issue. I think some make it out to be more than it is. Surprisingly, the pistol shot pretty flat, but when I shot the 19, it was snappy and took a little longer to get back on target. The 19 might be an acquired taste, but I can't wrap my head around it yet. It just doesn't feel right. I'm sure if I bought one and used the hell out of it then I'd love it like millions of others. If I shoot the p10c and love it then I won't get the 19. But if it's the same then maybe the 19 is the way to go.
