Default Ruger MKIV 22/45 LITE

My local FFL has had a Ruger MKIV 22/45 LITE on back order for me for about six weeks and he called this morning and told me it had finally come in. I got it home and did a routine field strip and going over, first time I've really had my hands on the MKIV to see how the new and improved disassembly/re-assembly actually worked. Ruger did a good job re-engineering it and it's a shame it took S&W's new Victory to motivate Ruger to do what should have been done about 25 years ago.

I going to take it out to the range this weekend and see how and it handles side by side with my Ruger MKII 22/45 and my MKIII 22/45 LITE. Probably take the S&W Victory along as well.

Have one, with Venom reflex sight and Volquartsen custom trigger. Wonderful pistol. Needed the custom trigger to bring out the best the pistol had to offer.

You will really like your new handgun.

I also recently picked up a Mark IV.
Shot it a few days ago, and really don't like the heavy trigger pull.
Not sure if I want to spend $100 on accurizing kit.

Nice collection!

I built mine up from parts; only the bolt and mainspring are actual Ruger parts. The lower is Volqs and the upper is TacSol. The Volqs trigger is easily the best trigger I have ever experienced in any gun; like a glass rod snapping. I put a Vortex Venom on it (Vortex has a nice discount for military) but haven't had a chance to sight it in yet. Hoping the HPA passes sometime soon so the comp can come off for a silencer.
