Default SIG Sauer P320s

I had consistently read nothing but positive reviews, both on line and in print about the three twenties, so decided to see for myself.

I bought these two; the black is a 320 F 9 RX while the FDE is a 320 C 9.

I took them to the range this past Sunday and fired two hundred rounds (100 124gr FMJ and 100 misc defense rounds) through each, including a magazine of rapid (as fast as I could reacquire the target) with ZERO malfunctions.

But, it was the accuracy which pleased me the most. I can tell you from this experience that, so far, the positive reviews have been proven accurate.

Both have earned a place in the safe!

UPDATE! Apex trigger and Burnt Bronze grip module. Looks fantastic.

Several yrs ago I bought a subcompact P320 in 9mm . I decided later I wanted something a little bigger and different caliber . I ordered the " xchange kit " from Sig . Converted it from a subCompact to a Compact , and changed the caliber to 357 sig . It's an easy conversion , comes right to your door (No FFL req'd) and I couldn't be happier . Very very accurate and is the right size for me . I highly recommend the Sig P320.
I reload for it . The 357 sig is not difficult to reload . I bought the LEE dies , yes they are steel so I have to lube before I resize the cases . It's what we did for many a year so it's no big deal .

My favorite line of semiauto pistols to come along in years. I hope Glock, S&W et al take note.

Does Sig have the exact same gun the Military will be using for sale to the general public with the thumb safety?

Default SIG P320

I have essentially the same two and already sold off the third which was the subcompact. I thought it was just to thick to carry in a belt holster. I've fired hundreds of rounds thru both but the compact is getting more range time. It just feels better. IMHO you cant go wrong with one of these

Drop in the Apex trigger, either style. It makes the gun even more betterer! Seriously, the Apex flat trigger is awesome sauce. Also, don't screw around if you are considering a 320. Sig is telling distributors that they may not get every 320 they ordered. That gun is taking away a chunk of my Glock 19 sales.

My agency is changing to the P320 and away from the Glock, which we have carried for over twenty years. All officer got to shoot and evaluate the SIG. In the final tally, the SIG was preferred by more than 2-1 over the Glock.

I recently bought a full size P320 - have run a few hundred rounds through it so far and really like this pistol.

once I read the news about the army choosing the 320 I noticed the indoor range nearby had one for rent so I gave it a try and liked it so much had to get one a couple of months later

I love my Sig P320 Carry in 9mm. It's a very accurate pistol and has never failed me. If I could carry anything I wanted to at work, I'd carry that over my issued Glock any day.

A friends department tested numerous pistols and selected the 320. I've only handled them, but I was impressed. I may still prefer the feel of the M&P grip, though.

Hey I have a question for you. I have the P320 in both compact and Subcompact and love them both. Normally I would never consider a .357 but heard the Sig P320 .357Sig compact, the recoil is not as stout as most. What has been your experience? I am talking about the ability to do double taps and get back on target. Yes I know with most pistols regardless of the recoil you can hit pretty accurately the first shot but talking about follow up shots.

I have this on both my Sig P320, the apex flat trigger and almost have to say this is a must have for this pistol. The curved trigger makes for tough shooting for people like me who have small hands.

Wonder if that's my issue (small hands). I have trouble giving it a smooth pull, but maybe it's the trigger pull weight. I started off with hammer style (with a 40) and just recently stepped into the striker fired realm (including a 320C and a Shield) and both striker fired pistols end up low/left.

Marathonrunner , I did not find the recoil a problem at all . I have a friend that 's the 33yr LEO , he's a small sort of guy . Has shot my P320 in 357 sig quite a bit and found it an easy round to fire . He has pretty small hands , when he first started in law enforcement , they reloaded their own carry ammo . He had a 38spl Smith that he loaded 89gr cast bullets to soften the recoil . If he found my 357sig comfortable to shoot I would think anyone else would too .

Congratulations! I've had my full sized P320 .40 for about a year and a half. I carry it whenever possible.

Maybe it's just a striker fired thing, but I had a 320 (midsize) about a year ago and ended up swapping it for a Sig 2022 (hammer fired), which I shoot much better. (both 9mm) I haven't fired a Glock since my one and only (G27) was traded away shortly after I got it in the mid 90's. However I do like my Shield 9 just fine, actually wanting to get another one in .45acp, so I can't say for sure what it was. I didn't really dislike it either.

Interesting. I was in the same situation, I was wondering why I was not hitting steel at 10 yards with the 320 nor my Shield, both in 9mm, but have no problem with my 40SW SP2022.

I wasn't enamored with the P-320, either.......but absolutely love my P-250s. As a very old revolver and PPC guy, I found the trigger of the P-250 to be just the ticket for someone like me. As time goes by, I find that I tend to get more away from striker fired hand guns. I guess I spend too much time at the range firing revolvers in double action,.........oh well, I guess I'm just too old to change now.........

The low and left is caused by either anticipating the recoil and/or the curved trigger as you are pulling it is sliding down, thus causing your sight picture and point of aim to shoot low. The flat face trigger will definitely reduce under travel and allow shooter to hold the trigger at its lowest point so you can make a heavy trigger seem lighter.

I have seen myself flinching in videos. IDK why I am anticipating when I started shooting pistols with a 40. I can't help but think the trigger pull can have something to do with it. Two pistols I'm shooting and hitting with have under sub-5lb triggers (2022 40SW and a VP9). Measured my 320 today at 7lbs, 6.5oz.

I looked into the flat face today and somewhat interested in the "advanced" version for the 2lb drop. I need to try out a flat faced trigger sometime.

I used to have a P250c in 40sw. Best grip I ever had. I sold it because I wanted a 10mm but I miss that darn thing.

A P320 Compact 9mm was my first "modern" centerfire pistol, purchased nearly three years ago. Although I loved it, after 4300 problem-free rounds I got restless to try something new, so I converted it to a .357 SIG using a SIG Caliber X-Change Kit. Now I love it even more. It's an improvement as a .357 SIG because it's more accurate at longer ranges. And, of course, because of its clever modular design, I can always convert it back to a 9mm in a matter of minutes.

Good job, SIG Sauer!

I was going to pull the trigger and buy the current version of the 320 until I saw that Sig is coming out with the P320 X series. I'm waiting for the X carry to be released in May/June. Check it out....

High bore axis , rides up on repeat shots. Cheap made a striker fired 250. Good for ground ponders with safety so they do not shoot them selfs. Socom will stay with glocks. A better choice than the junk 320. The contract came in cheap a tad over $200 for the XM17, known as the 320 . They will make money on support and parts support. People cryed glock gets the contracts because there cheap , but now with the Sig XM17 our ground pounders will have real cheap junk 320's.

So much hate.

Funny how those that have shot the 320 say that the high bore axis is not that noticeable. There is more to supplying a handgun to the military than outright speed in action.

The 250 and 320 have been around nothing new or breath taking. No hate for me,but the Sig 320 Kool-Aid does not wash away the cheapness of the pistol. A good throw away .

Talk about rainin' on the poor fellow's parade! Geez!

Ohioseabee, enjoy your 320s. I fail to see how they are so much inferior to any of the other plastic pistols. Whether Glock, S&W, SIG, or anything else, if they have a molded plastic frame $200 sounds about right to me, if you're buying in quantity.

If you like them, they're "good" guns. The End.

Default Raining on my parade?

Jeeps is entitled to his "expert" opinion. I have been accumulating, shooting, cleaning, carrying, and repairing handguns for over fifty years. I like to think that, by now, I can make a decent appraisal of a handguns pros and cons. No sweat.

The Sig 320 was the 2nd time I purchased a Sig when the Glock 19 was a consideration for the purchase.

+1 on the p250. Mine are great. I'm also a revolver guy. Glad to the the 320 doing so well, its sort of from the same family, and shares grip frames with the 250.
