Is there a Charter Arms database for DOBs?
I just got a Bulldog .44 and was curious if DOB info was out there................
Best,
Charles

I met the president of the company at the NRA show in Atlanta on Saturday. I gave him the serial number on my nickel .44 bulldog and he told me he felt it was 1973. You may be able to call the company and get an answer to your question or maybe a close approximation. I don't believe they have a database for older serial numbers. You have to remember the company has changed hands several times over the years.

I would definitely call them. My wife owns a Charter Arms Pathfinder, and they really go out of their way for their customers, at least in our experience.

Stratford #621xxx. It has the thumblatch and ejector rod cylinder releases.

I emailed the company about 18 months ago to find out the age of mine when I first got it. Mine was a 1972 gun and their response was pretty prompt.

+1 on Charter's customer service. I've called on them twice and they've done above and beyond at very reasonable cost both times - this on older guns, an original 3" Bulldog .44 and an early Pathfinder .22 LR.

Charter Arms customer service is GREAT!
I emailed by DOB question last night. Today, they replied with the year (1980) and attached an exploded diagram as well a a parts list! A++++!
