Gun oil / maintenance query
I've got an aluminum frame Ruger P90. The aluminum is anodized, like SIGs are.
I clean my guns with Ballistol, and on the steel framed autos, I lube the rails with just the ballistol as well. With the alloy frame, I apply a grease made by Corrosion X to the slide rails and frame rails. I keep a layer of Ballistol on the inside frame and slide, and on the outer layer of the frame and slide for rust prevention and lubrication.
My question: 1) Is Ballistol safe for the anodized aluminum? 2) Is it safe for the weapon to use *both* Ballistol and Corrosion X together?
Thanks

Mixing lubes can occasionally bring up compatibility issues.
You may be the guinea pig here.

Balistol is the most benign gun cleaning/preservative imaginable!
No concern using it on anodized frames or using it in conjunction with other products.

Seems to be a favorite with many. Will have to try it. So many cleaner-lubes out there and all claim to be the best. Bit confusing to say the least. Been using Breakfree CLP along with Hoppes myself.

Thanks. Ballistol seems to be mostly mineral oil, and it's compatible with even wood.
Not sure about CorrosionX.

CorrosionX is also mainly mineral oil, according to the MSDS.
If you are unsure of the composition of a particular product, do a search for it's Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) on Google.

from vegetal seeds."
Not sure if these things will interact badly, or if they do damage to anodized aluminum.
