Said I never would but I just did x3!
First I said I would never ever buy or carry anything smaller than 9mm. Next I said if I were to buy (even though it would never happen) a .380 mouse gun- I would only consider a Kahr CW380. Recently I even posted I would gladly pay $75-100 more for a Kahr CW380 over a Bodyguard or LCP.
Well, I just reneged on all the above statements. I gave in to PSA's $199.99 + free shipping deal on an LCP. At that price point I just could not resist as I have been tormented by the idea that I really should own one .380 mouse gun as either a BUG, or more likely, a true pocket gun. I'm tiring of having to dress around even my Kahr PM9 during the summertime so my mind was made up. I considered the LCP Custom for a few $ more but the LCP's PSA has are the second gen LCP models with improved sights and trigger. IDK, but the sights on the LCP Custom look pretty snag worthy to me so anyway I've made my bed with the basic LCP.
I hope I like it and it really is much easier for summer carry than my PM9 or XDs. Some like Liberty Civilian Defense ammo some do not. I like it and I'm excited to see how it feels and shoots in the LCP.

Yes, thank you. I have modified my thinking and am actually looking forward to the LCP, so as far as I'm concerned now- it's a good thing.

Lol. Wasn't sure if congratulations were in order or not.
I've been on the fence for a while about getting one of the tiny 380's for tossing in my pocket in summer months. I'm a shorts and t-shirt kind of guy and while the small 380's might be a compromise I figure having just about any gun is better than no gun.

Welcome to the dark side! I've been pocket carrying an original from when they first came out. Lost count of how many rounds but every one has been 100%. Practice and you'll be surprised how accurate the little thing is.
My life is full of "Dad, we're out of..". I'm on a first name basis with the staff at a local grocery store! Sure I'd love my Glock 26 on my belt, but it's a pain to get the holster on and hard to hide in the summer. The convenience of slipping the LCP in my pocket (with pocket holster of course) means I've got something better than rocks in seconds as I head out the door.

I have an LCP in addition to my 442. The LCP carries flatter and the ME (Ft-lbs) is only around 20 less with the right ammo than the 38SPL. A DeSantis pocket holster breaks up the lines and protects the trigger and I'm good for dress slacks without a coat in the Summer. If I can wear a shirt untucked then a FS auto is more my speed. I've had no hiccups or problems with my stock LCP on ammo or function. Good luck.

An lcp is the perfect carry handgun. I doubt you'll be disappointed. I paid $300 for mine several years back, and thought I got a deal then.

I also have one of the first gens and was not sure if I was going to like it. It is now my most carried gun. Just slip it in the pocket in the morning and you are good to go.

Congrats!
I am an unabashed LCP fanboy as are many here. ( I know Phil likes his)
Like gregintenn, I also think it ranks with the perfect pocket pistols.

I carried a 1st Gen for several years, jut recently up graded to the LCP2. The trigger is improved, the sights are much improved, and the texturing is much much improved. It "seems" to be a little thicker where it fits the web of the hand and is much easier to control. I sold my original one Saturday, so I'm committed to the LCP2. (When I'm not carrying my 432PD 32 H&R Mag).

I realized a long time ago that the gun you go to war with is the one in your pocket, not the one in the safe.

I have three LCP pistols, one "old gen" and two of the (I guess) 2nd generation in stainless. All are quite reliable. Why three you ask? One stays in MA, two in AZ, one for me and one for my wife.
I use Hornady 90 grain FTX for carry (very reliable) and cheap Russian stuff for practice (less reliable - don't care).
The DeSantis Nemesis holster is a really good way to carry the little pistol.

is to hard to cover the way summer dress is cargo shorts and t-shirts ..
then I shot a friends Sig P238 and fell in love with it .. I then went and bought a Sig P238 HD .. great little pocket carry !!
