Browning Hi-power - Help with ID -
Hello forum members -
I've this vintage 1969 according to Lenny Reese over at Browning - He doesn't have any additional information -
I am hoping for some info please -
Pardon the "curve" - I've a new camera and just haven't fully comprehend the thing -

1969 T-series Hi power.
1961 barrel.....no clue on the stampings
on the butt.

What you have is what is known to collectors as a T-series HP, arguably the most desirable of the commercial variants (T series was mfg from roughly 1964-69) as it is considered by many to be the pinnacle of FN quality when it comes to HPs. That time is thought of as the "sweet spot" with regards to fit/finish/QC etc. Red back grips and round hammer are correct and it looks like the bbl has been switched out as noted by Xfuzz nice pistol

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for but you've already got most of it figured out; A nice vintage 1969 T-series Browning.

"T" markings
I thought the same thing ( possibly Israeli or Austrian mag.) But looking again, realized the"Y" markings are on the butt; not the magazine  Nice '69 "T" series BTW

She is indeed a 69 vintage frame - Different barrel and a different slide too?
Still in search of what is on the butt of the frame - Could it be Hebrew?
I've looked at Hebrew alphabets and can't make sense of it -

I doubt that it's Hebrew.Perhaps marks applied by an armorer.
In any case,even though this gun has mixed parts,I don't think that it would still look this good if used by the IDF. I'm also under the impression that the IDF used FNs, not FNs made for Browning.This gun has a Browning frame.
