Marlin glenfield model 25 or Savage 65. Help
I have a chance to get one of these. Both are the same price 150.00 each out the door. The marlin is a 22lr and the savage is a 22 Mag. Does anybody have experience with either. Thank you

I own the Marlin 25. It's a nice basic bolt action rifle. 22 shorts, longs or birdshot can be shot thru it. 22 magnum ammunition is expensive.

I'd get the Marlin because it's 22lr.
22 mag isn't something I have a use for. Too expensive to shoot a lot. Has little practical benefit for any application I have.

I've had the marlin for 35-odd years. Great gun.
Unless you have a need or want for the magnum, I'd go with the .22 LR.
