Default Winchester 1894 in 1/2 scale takedown

I believe this is the only rifle that Raymond Hutchens ever made in miniature He made the case, chambered it in 22 short and stocked it Macasser ebony.Forget about the difficulty in making the rifle and just contemplate making the Lyman receiver sight. The first image is from the book on scale model firearms.

That is so awesome! I can't imagine the time and skill required to make something so intricate. Do anybody currently make these?

A question was asked earlier about value on these. I think it is way more than the real thing!!! Maybe this has already been asked and answered, but what was the time frame these gems were made?

Boykinip, Raymond Hutchens made his first miniature firearm in 1940. I believe he died sometime in the 1990's. So that is the timeframe. I have friends who remember seeing displays of Mr. Hutchens work during the OGCA shows in the 70's.

That is a sweet little rifle. Bet it's a hoot to shoot!!!

I too would like to know the year made but I guess there isn't an answer yet. The ebony stock seals the deal for coolness in my opinion. What a great gun for the Winchester aficionado.
