Queen #11's
Just thought I would share my favorite pocket knives with all. These are Queen #11s and I've carried one starting in "65 while in the navy in Frisco. Bought it at a shop on market street and carried on two west pac cruises on CVA-14 Ticonderoga. My origonal one is on the left standing in the large group picture. They have been made for quite a while, the one standing on the right with celuloid is from the '20's. Other companies make this style also including Boker (93), Case (048), Schrade and i'm sure others. Queen also puts several names on them like John Primble and Shatt & Morgan. The four pictured are my favorites but not carried. I've always found the size and shape fit my hand and uses just fine.

I believe that pattern is known as a slimline trapper. "Slimline" because it's single blade makes it slimmer than the typical two-bladed trapper. I have been tempted by the Case version, but never yet pulled the trigger.

I have a Queen-marked copy of your Winchester Easy-Open Single Blade Jack in delrin jigged bone. Started carrying it about 1988, have lost it SIX TIMES and it has always come back to me. A little spooky, maybe, but it now occupies an honored space on the mantel and I carry something else. Maybe I'll gift it when I go dirt-nap.

I've heard them also called single-blade trapper and farmers knives. I just sold my last 2 case 048s and am sticking with the Queens. They are just as good quality and a bit more looking required to find. Prices are reasonable starting at about $35.

Count me in the Queen Slimline Trapper fan club. Mine's an amber stag bone with a D2 blade. It impressed me so much that I bought it a Case for company. Then I tried to make one myself. It started life as a Rough Rider Trapper kit.
Lately my belt size and knives have grown slightly. Could we call these top two Slimline Cousins...a Maserin and a Boker.
