Default R1100T

Gang got a new Remington 1100 Tactical:

Sweet shooter! Runs good. Was making a horrific mess out of the range targets. Nine rounds of 00 buckshot sure can leave a mark! Love this new shotgun gang, just though I'd share. Thanks!

Take care,

Jay

I can't be the only guy who was expecting a thread on one a these:

Zim Zimmer

Is that a factory offering? I just went to Remmy's site and couldn't find it. That's about the level of "tactical" that I like. I don't need a yard of picatinny rail or a dozen spare rounds onboard or a tank-sized brake, etc. And I know it's an old design and may need more maintenance after 5,000 rounds than a newer one, but it's definitely a tried and true action.

No doubt! I was going through my stash the other day looking to sell off what I could and realized my favorite "social use" load isn't being made anymore: Winchester Double-X #1 buck, 20 pellet count #X12C1B, a hair under 2 ounces of copper plated, buffered .30 caliber shot. Low-recoil buckshot? Ain't nobody got time for that!

I think Remington recently discontinued this model. This one was NIB and I was happy to snatch it for a very solid price. I too dislike shotguns that are loaded down with tactical nonsense. I doubt I'll put anything else on this gun except a weapon light for home defense use. This 1100 is very sleak and classy, looks traditional and businesslike, not like a space ray gun that is all the rage these days. So far, I'm impressed with it!!
