CZ P-09??? Who else did it...
I bought one on a whim, omega trigger and 19 round mags. normally not a da/sa guy, but WOW. i am in love with this big ole duty gun. shoots lights out, low recoil, and a 1911ish grip. anyone else delve into the CZ's? i am a big fan of my 75B single action, but the P-09 is something else...

Fabulous firearms in all that they offer! I have 7-8 CZ handguns and a CZ 452 in .17HMR that is almost as accurate as my Anschutz target rifles...

Have a CZ75B SAO that is phenomenally accurate and sweet shooting. Also have a 75D PCR and a P01. All of them are excellent weapons. IMHO one of the best bang for buck deals out there. In the market for a 452 rifle.

I have a SP-01 Shadow for my full size CZ. I am giving serious thought to getting a P01 for a more carry sized weapon. I have handled some of the older P07 models and if I were to get a polymer CZ that would be the one.

I have a P-09. I like it; it is a very nice shooting pistol; sort of like the old Henry - load it on Monday and shoot it until Sunday! I also have another rather large - even bigger then the P-09, also by CZ:

Now if CZ would just come out with a single stack.

I love CZ. Mine is a 1996 made 75 B. Impressively accurate gun and great ergonomics. Quite large and heavy for carrying, though. But as a range gun it excels. Only gripe I have is I wish it had a decocker. Not a huge fan of cocked n' locked or manually lowering hammers on loaded chambers.
I'm really resisiting the urge to buy a P-07. It's literally the only polymer gun that attracts me.
Congrats on your fantastic P-09!

The safety models are supposed to have better triggers both initially and potentially with CZ Custom work. My SP01 Shadow's trigger never ceases to amaze me. Lowering the hammer on a chambered round is easy as can be, especially with the rowel hammer. I keep mine hammer down on a chambered round in the night stand with the safety off. No different than when I kept my Model 10 snub in there.
I know just what you mean about resisting the P07. I need to get my P01 so I will stop being tempted.

My P01 is my carry gun and nightstand gun. I carry it half cocked, with alum grips 14+1. It's an excellent shooter. I've got about 1,500 rounds through it without a problem. I had the upper chrome plated after I nicked the poly coating.
Here's an older picture, at full cock with my previous grips on it.

Have the custom shop spo1 shadow with the long slide (5.4) and light trigger-a beautiful gun-but may be "Too Good" for me-I am not used to one so finally honed. But, I haven't fired it much at all-maybe I'll eventually be able to step up!

A funny thing happened on my way to a P-09....the Shield 45 rebate.
I had picked up a P-07 9mm in April, and absolutely fell in love with it.
Fit my hand like the proverbial glove. Accurate as all get out. And just a quality polymer framed pistol.
The P-09 is still on my list, just may take a little longer than expected.
