Default Shooter Luger

This is a mismatched 1906 Commercial that I recently picked up. The only parts that don't match are the frame and grips. The frame is the new model long version that can be found on some early 1906 commercial & American Eagle, 1906 Navy models and 1906 Swiss. It is numbered, however, in what collectors refer to as the alphabet serial number range, it has an -i- suffix and falls in the range of Swiss commercials from the 20's. Because of the later '06 short receiver on top of the long frame it isn't a flush fit(last pic). It doesn't affect function and I now have a shooter in 7.65mm Luger and won't have to worry about breaking a numbered part.

You could grind down that frame a little so it matches up with the receiver, then touch it up with a little cold blue. Jes sayin'!

But, only if your name is BUBBA!

Nice pick up! Let us know how she shoots!

Nice looking Luger. Great overal condition for a shooter.
I like the grip safety/no stock lug features.
The short recv'r/long frame issue I could easily live with!
