Default Beretta 85fs question

I have a Beretta 85fs (cheetah) 380. Nice carry gun.

I noticed that the feed ramp is part of the aluminum frame, and the aluminum is *very* thin at the top of the feed ramp.

Has anyone had any long term problems with the feed ramp being damaged or cracking since it is so thin?

It looks like the rounds feed very straight into the chamber, so maybe the feed ramp doesn't get much stress from the rounds.

You should be fine. The FS is a very durable version of the gun. The B and BB were not as durable and would eventually beat themselves them to death but the feed ramps were never the issue.

Thanks for the feedback WVSig.

I figured that since the Beretta 80 series has been around for 30 plus years, and it has a history of reliability, *IF* the feedramp was an issue, it would have been discovered and dealt with long ago.
