Knife repair, scale replacement
I have an old Case pocket knife that I have owned since my youth. One of the scales is missing, can this be replaced?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes Case will for a price will replace your scale. Or at least they used to. However it is almost a necessity to post pictures of that old folder.

I gave my Dad a Case stockman many, many years ago. He carried it daily. He sent it back to Case and asked them to replace the main blade hinge pin that broke.
They sent him a new same model knife. He called them raising heck. Told them his son gave him that knife he wanted it repaired not replaced. They don't fix them any more he was told. They finally found it and sent it back to him, fixed.
I have several of my paternal grandfather's knives that he replaced scales on 1 side. He used wood.
On Case I'd call to verify.

On Bladeforums you can probably find somebody who would tackle that work. There is a guy who posts in the Traditional forum who does a lot of that and gets excellent reviews. His pseudonym is Glenbaad. There are lots of pics of his work. I have not seen it in person, but it looks good from here.
If you wanted to attempt new scales yourself, there is a lot of info on that forum, too.

I've actually done it myself usuing instructions from that site. It isn't a walk in the park but, if I can do it, anybody can.
